The New York Knicks made a huge D-League pickup in getting Jeremy Lin on their roster. But they aren't a complete team just yet.
There are lots of players toiling away in the D-League, hoping for their shot at playing at the highest level. There are many of those players who could help the Knicks right away.
Here are five particular players they should look at acquiring.
Zach Andrews
Zach Andrews is a 6'9" power forward who is averaging 11 points and nearly nine rebounds per game.
He'd be a great fit for the Knicks' second team.
Andrews is also shooting 65 percent from the field and would be a solid guy to have as a contributor off the bench.
The Knicks should check this guy out. Depth matters in the playoffs, and Andrews can give them that.
Dominique Coleman
Dominique Coleman is a guard who can rebound and steal the ball.
Those are things the Knicks desperately need, as they are severely lacking on the defensive side of the ball.
Coleman averages 2.3 steals per game and six rebounds. He also averages 5.8 assists.
He's a well-rounded guy who could help any team, and especially the Knicks.
Antoine Agudio
Antoine Agudio is a sharp-shooting three-point shooter in the D-League right now.
He's averaging around 10 points per game and shooting 53 percent from three-point range.
Agudio could stretch the floor for the Knicks, giving playmakers like Jeremy Lin, Carmelo Anthony and Amare Stoudemire more room to work.
Marcus Lewis
Marcus Lewis is a 6'8" power forward.
He's averaging 14 points and 13 rebounds per game right now for the Tulsa 66ers.
Lewis is shooting 54 percent from the field and could be a solid contributor for the Knicks off the bench.
Blake Ahearn
Blake Ahearn is a 6'3" guard in the D-League.
The Missouri State alum is averaging 24 points per game this season and shoots 96 percent from the free-throw line.
Ahearn would be a great guy to have on the Knicks' bench.
Someone needs to score when Carmelo Anthony and Amare Stoudemire are on the bench. Ahearn could be that guy.
