NHL Trade Rumors: Shea Weber and the Biggest Names on the Move

There are plenty of names being thrown around this season as some big names could possibly be on the move, but so far we haven’t seen much action.
That’s all about to change.
With the trade deadline approaching, the offers will start to increase and the asking price on certain players may be going down. All of the following players will be on the move at the deadline.
Shea Weber
Which Player is Most Likely to Be Traded?
Despite the belief that Ryan Suter and Shea Weber will not be available at the trade deadline, the Philadelphia Flyers' need for help in their own end may have them give the Nashville Predators an offer they can’t refuse.
Philadelphia has a plethora of young talent on their team with players like Matt Read, Brayden Schenn and James van Riemsdyk, so getting a deal done may not be as impossible as once thought.
Both Suter and Weber have made it clear that they will not re-sign during the season, so Nashville needs to take a great offer from the Flyers seriously or risk hurting their franchise for the long haul.

With the Edmonton Oilers falling out of contention, there has been talk that the New York Rangers may be inquiring about the talents of forward Ryan Smyth.
Larry Brooks of the New York Post is reporting:
A well-placed source told The Post that Smyth, who was drafted sixth overall in 1994 by Sather and then played the first five years under his direction while he was general manager of the Oilers, would give serious consideration to waiving his no-move clause in order to pursue a Cup on Broadway.
This is perfect for a team that lacks a strong two-way presence at forward that can throw a body check and drive the net in the same shift. Smyth adds the scoring on the wing that the Rangers have missed all season.

The Philadelphia Flyers will be making a huge move before the trade deadline, and Darren Dreger of TSN thinks it could be to the Toronto Maple Leafs that jump in and get James van Riemsdyk.
For a long time, the thought process by many GMs in the NHL was that JvR was not available via trade, but injuries and a lack of consistent production have forced the Flyers to reconsider their stance.
The deal would consist of other players to satisfy both teams, but essentially the Flyers would be trading van Riemsdyk for young defender Luke Schenn. That would give the Maple Leafs the forward their team needs and Philly gets the defender they have missed since Chris Pronger went down.
