It has been one of the most action-packed weekends of Premier League football in memory, with 36 goals scored and no draws.

We have seen a cracker between Norwich and Swansea, controversial scenes overshadowing a good game at Old Trafford and plenty of fight from teams thought to be dead and buried at different points in the season.

Wigan played extremely well to deny Bolton a point and put even more pressure on Owen Coyle, while Blackburn held off a late rally from QPR to secure all three points.

After we regain our breath, who stands out as the biggest winners and losers in the league?

Biggest Winner: Spurs

Barring an epic collapse, Tottenham are now looking at Champions League football next season.

A 5-0 demolition of high-flying Newcastle and a Chelsea loss meant that Spurs are now 10 points ahead of fifth place.

Two goals from new signing Louis Saha and one each for Kranjcar and Assou-Ekotto put the London side four goals up before the break.

Emmanual Adeboyor, having a terrific game, then rounded off the scoring in the 64th minute.

It was a scintillating performance from Harry Redknapp's team, ending a turbulent week for the boss with a bang.

Spurs fans won't want Harry to be leaving for England just yet.

2nd Biggest Winner: Pavel Pogrebnyak

Pavel Pogrebnyak could not have wished for a better start to life in the Premier League. Brought in by Martin Jol to replace the outgoing Bobby Zamora, Pogrebnyak took only 16 minutes to open his account for Fulham.

A smart first touch to control John Arne-Riise's shot and a crisp left-footed finish gave the Russian a dream start to his time at Craven Cottage.

He was then lucky not to be punished for a wild challenge on Wilson Palacios.

Fulham fans will be hoping for more of the same from Pogrebnyak.

Biggest Loser: Luis Suarez

Much has and will be said about the ongoing actions of Luis Suarez and not much of it will be positive.

After racially abusing Patrice Evra last October, the Uruguayan petulantly refused to shake Evra's hand on Saturday.

With race rows at the forefront of English football currently, Suarez had the chance to put this one to bed and he blew it.

He not only embarrassed himself but also embarrassed his manager. Dalglish stood by his player but has now also had to issue an apology.

Suarez's apology after the game is too little too late and the odour from this unpleasant episode is likely to follow him for some time.

He's got no one to blame but himself.

2nd Biggest Loser: Chelsea

After letting a three-goal lead slip last week against Man Utd, Chelsea badly needed a result against Everton to get some momentum.

However, this wasn't to be, as David Moyes' men looked fairly untroubled to come away with a 2-0 victory.

Described by Villas-Boas as "One of their worst performances of the season," Chelsea never got going in a game in which they struggled to find some creativity outside of the excellent Juan Mata.

They got off to a bad start as Steven Pienaar scored inside of five minutes, taking advantage of a lucky bounce to smash home.

Denis Stracqualursi secured the win, scoring with 20 minutes remaining to put the game beyond Chelsea.

This leaves Andre Villas-Boas' men fifth in the league and in terrible form. They will now have to fight a resurgent Arsenal side for fourth place and risk not playing in the Champions League for the first time since 2001.
