For those of you who were thrilled to see Andre Berto get back into the ring against Victor Ortiz for the second time, and then let down by the news of Berto’s injury causing the fight cancellation, don’t you worry, the fight is on for June 30 at the Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas.

“Victor’s primary obligation is to fight Andre Berto. The fight was to have taken place this Saturday, Feb. 11, but had to be postponed because Berto suffered a training injury last week,” stated Ortiz’s manager Rolando Arellano.

Ever since the bad news hit the web, boxing fans and analysts went to work, trying to decide and predict who Victor will be fighting next. Even Victor himself had no idea that the fight with Berto would still be happening, as he just recently called out Margarito, Alvarez and Khan on his Twitter account.

This is great news for all, as a rematch against Berto is much more significant and sought-after than any of the three Ortiz called out.

While June is not around the corner, I think that most of you would agree that this fight is worth the wait and will prove to be entertaining as well as productive for boxing.

By the end of June, Berto should be 100 percent and ready to go to battle. The question is, will he be ready by early May to restart his training camp?
