Free agent quarterback Matt Flynn couldn't have picked a better way to convince teams that he should be their starter next season. In the last regular season game of the 2011-2012 season, Flynn had the game of his life, completing 31-of-44 passes for 480 yards and six touchdowns.

Those numbers are impressive enough to make even Aaron Rodgers blush.

Here are five teams that should be fighting for the services of 26-year-old perennial backup Matt Flynn.

5. Arizona Cardinals

The play of Arizona Cardinals starting quarterback Kevin Kolb is making the team's trade with the Philadelphia Eagles look worse every game. Kolb really only played in eight games, suffering from turf-toe as well as a concussion towards the end of the year.

This one might be a bit of a reach, as Kolb will probably enter next season as the starter for the Cardinals, but don't be surprised if his team looks to light a fire under him by signing Matt Flynn.

4. Denver Broncos

This next one might come as a bit of a shock, but it would be practical for the Denver Broncos to sign Matt Flynn.

Tim Tebow will definitely be getting his snaps next season, but the Broncos are lacking at the backup spot. Brady Quinn is obviously not the high-caliber athlete that he was once thought to be, and there is always a chance Tebow will get the axe in 2012-2013.

When the time comes that John Elway is fed up with terrible quarterback play from Tebow, he could look for his newly signed backup Matt Flynn to take the reigns.

You can call Tebow's success as a starter in the NFL whatever you please, but the bottom line is that his dreadful play will not continue to get him wins.

3. Seattle Seahawks

Tarvaris Jackson didn't have a terrible season, but it wasn't pretty either. He had a rating of 79.2 and only averaged a shade over 200 passing yards per game. He'll also be 29 by the start of next season, two years older than Flynn.

The Seahawks won five of eight to finish out the season with the help of Marshawn Lynch and his "Beast Mode." If the team can bring in some productive quarterback play by signing Flynn, they could have a puncher's chance in a weak NFC West.

2. Minnesota Vikings

Christian Ponder had a pretty awful year any way you look at it. In his last four games, he threw for 120 yards or less—a little too Tebow-esque to be the starting quarterback of a team.

The Minnesota Vikings have the No. 3 pick in the draft and, by all accounts, won't be drafting a quarterback. However, Matt Flynn is floating around free agency, ripe for the taking.

Vikings management seems to support Ponder, but it couldn't hurt to sign Flynn just in case Ponder doesn't work out or gets injured. Minnesota brass wouldn't want to have to go through a stretch of games with Joe Webb or Sage Rosenfels under center.

1. Jacksonville Jaguars

The Jacksonville Jaguars ended the season at the bottom of the barrel in passing yards at dead last.

It's obviously a season or two premature to give up on first-round pick Blaine Gabbert, but that doesn't mean the Jags can't sign Matt Flynn to help Gabbert grow as a quarterback.

Flynn has played in the big game in college at LSU and alongside Aaron Rodgers in Green Bay, so it would be hard to believe that he didn't learn anything from Rodgers in their time together.

Then again, you can never be a good quarterback without adequate receivers. As of now, EverBank Field is a black hole for quarterbacks.
