One of the coolest moments you could ever experience as a sports fan is following your team’s ups and downs all the way to a championship and being able to celebrate it with the actual members of the team.

You can do as much during the New York Giants victory parade, scheduled to begin at 11:00 am EST on Tuesday at Battery Place and Washington Street, traveling northbound to Worth Street.

There will be a ceremony at City Hall Plaza where Mayor Bloomberg plans on presenting the team with keys to the city. In addition to the early-afternoon celebration, New Jersey Governor Chris Christie tweeted that there would be a rally at 3:00 PM at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey.

People who live outside of the Big Apple may forget that the team, along with the New York Jets, plays its games in New Jersey and not New York. It’s pretty bizarre quite honestly, but I guess the most populated city in the world is a bit too cramped for a mega football stadium.

But this is New Jersey’s team too. They deserve a parade of their own to help cap off one of the great seasons of all time.

Regardless of which side of the Hudson River they reside on, fans are going to show up en masse for the parade. Four years ago after the Giants' first Super Bowl win, roughly a million fans showed up in cold and rainy weather. This year the forecast calls for mid to upper 40-degree weather and sunshine.

So not only can you call off work to celebrate your favorite team's championship, but you can do it with a million of your closest friends in unseasonably warm weather.

Life is good right now if you’re a Giant fan.
