Super Bowl Line: New York Giants Receiving Points Is Easy Money
With the Super Bowl just a few hours away, it’s time to channel the inner gambler you know that you are and fill in every pool you can get your hands on.
While there are plenty of bets that won’t pay off on Super Bowl Sunday, looking to stick with the over/under and spread is the right move. It will pay off on Credit Card Payment Monday.
Each of the following sub-sections has my breakdown of where I’m going with my money on Sunday. You should know that I am very cheap, so I won’t waste my money.
Over/Under: 53.5
Everyone thinks of the Super Bowl as the matchup of the two best teams in the NFL, but the oddsmakers are at their best as well. I have this game totaling 55 points, just 1.4 points over.
Looking at the totals of the three previous matchups (44, 31 and 73), it’s easy to want to bet the under, but it’s not worth it. With all of the action going under, take the chance on the over and watch as you win money hand over fist.
Both of the potent offense will be ready to roll on Sunday and have a better chance of blowing up then coming up short.
Prediction: 55 total points
Spread: Patriots -3
Every time the Giants take a step onto the field against the Patriots, the two teams bring their A-game. Over their last three meetings, the games have been decided by a combined total of just 10 points (NYG 24 - NE 20; NYG 17 - NE 14; NE 38 - NYG 35).
With New York being the underdog, but favored in many circles to win the game outright, taking them with the three-point advantage is a no-brainer.
As good a New England has been offensively, the Giants defense knows how to get after them and will keep the score close. Whether the Giants win or lose, you will win your bet if you take the points.
Prediction: Giants 28, Patriots 27
