Chelsea and Manchester United will kick things off on Super Bowl Sunday in an English Premier League fixture at Stamford Bridge, which has many sports books linking the contest with America's biggest sporting event later in the day.

Manchester United has been eliminated from Champions League, FA Cup and League Cup contention in January for the first time in club history, while Chelsea has suffered just one loss in its last 10 home games in the series.

Oddsmakers have established five proposition offerings that center around the amount of goals scored in West London versus the amount of receptions five players finish with inside Lucas Oil Stadium.

Let's take a closer look at these unique props from a betting perspective.

New England Patriots TE Aaron Hernandez

Don't get overwhelmed with the language used in this particular proposition offering, as you're essentially betting for each particular player in the Super Bowl to go over or under their respective number in relation to the amount of goals scored in the soccer match.

The amount of goals scored at Stamford Bridge is going to be a constant figure once the game kicks off inside Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis.

If Chelsea and Manchester United play to a 0-0 tie, New England Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez would have to catch four passes to win or three to push.

He caught 11 combined balls during the AFC playoffs, but could see more passes thrown in his direction with Rob Gronkowski's injury.

Aaron Hernandez -3 receptions and goals scored (-110)

Chelsea/Manchester United +3 receptions and goals scored (-120)

New York Giants WR Hakeem Nicks

New York Giants wide receiver Hakeem Nicks is a dangerous weapon on the perimeter for quarterback Eli Manning to target, grabbing 18 receptions for 335 yards in three playoff games this year.

The former North Carolina Tar Heels star didn't play in the regular-season meeting against the Patriots.

Hakeem Nicks -3.5 receptions and goals scored (-110)

Chelsea/Manchester United +3.5 receptions and goals scored (-120)

New England Patriots TE Rob Gronkowski

The New England Patriots would likely be a higher-priced favorite if Rob Gronkowski's ankle was 100 percent healthy, but that's not going to be the case on Sunday.

You're either getting great value or throwing your money away on any prop bets with his name involved.

I'd rather invest elsewhere.

Rob Gronkowski -3 receptions and goals scored (-110)

New York Giants WR Victor Cruz

I'm really opening up to the idea of New York Giants wide receiver Victor Cruz being Eli Manning's top target in Super Bowl XLVI, as the New England Patriots are thin in the secondary.

Not exactly thrilled that the betting odds are the same that's listed for Hakeem Nicks, but sometimes you just have to take the money and run.

Victor Cruz -3.5 receptions and goals scored (-110)

Chelsea/Manchester United +3.5 receptions and goals scored (-120)

New England Patriots WR Wes Welker

New England Patriots wide receiver Wes Welker is expected to catch the most passes when comparing the numbers for all five receiving options in this article, especially with Rob Gronkowski's health in question.

He caught nine passes for 136 yards in the regular-season meeting with the New York Giants, while grabbing six balls in two playoff games this year.

Welker figures to be the main option in the passing game when Tom Brady looks to get rid of the ball quickly.

Wes Welker -4.5 receptions and goals scored (-110)

Chelsea/Manchester United +4.5 receptions and goals scored (-120)
