For those who don’t want to wait until Friday to see what happens on SmackDown, the following article will give a breakdown of how the most recent show went last night as the WWE invaded the Centurylink Center in Omaha, Nebraska.

From ProWrestling.com:

* Lilian Garcia opens SmackDown, and there are some National Guard troops at ringside.

* Teddy Long comes out and announces World Heavyweight Champion Daniel Bryan, Randy Orton, Mark Henry, Wade Barrett, Cody Rhodes and Big Show for the Elimination Chamber match.

* Mark Henry comes out and isn't happy about getting his shot in the Chamber. Henry wants his World Title shot tonight. Teddy removes Henry from the Chamber match and ends up suspending him indefinitely. Henry gets pissed off but Sheamus lays him out with a Brogue Kick. Sheamus says he's not sure which title he will go for at WrestleMania 28 and is interrupted by Cody Rhodes. Cody vs. Sheamus is announced.

* Sheamus defeated Cody Rhodes.

* Hunico vs. Justin Gabriel never happens as Cody Rhodes jumps Gabriel on his way to the ring. Camacho and Hunico join in on the beatdown until The Great Khali makes the save.

* Backstage segment with Drew McIntyre begging Teddy Long to keep him on SmackDown. Santino Marella comes in and has a new tag team partner—Hacksaw Jim Duggan. You can imagine how this segment went. Their name is "Santinooooooo." Aksana came in for more comedy.

* Primo and Epico beat Santino Marella and Hacksaw Jim Duggan in a non-title match after some distractions from Rosa Mendes.

* Daniel Bryan came to the ring to cut a heel promo about being a role model and a vegan. Big Show comes out and says he just got finished eating a steak. They talk and Show chokeslams him. Show tried to continue the assault but AJ Lee came out and stopped him.

* Brodus Clay squashed Heath Slater. After the match, Drew McIntyre came out and attacked Clay. Clay ran through McIntyre and danced to celebrate.

* Beth Phoenix and Natalya beat Aksana and Tamina.

* The Great Khali is announced as Mark Henry's replacement in the Elimination Chamber.

* Josh Matthews interviews Randy Orton backstage.

* Randy Orton defeats Wade Barrett in what was called a good match that saw lots of action on the outside. They brought a table and chairs into play. Orton won with the RKO. After the match, Daniel Bryan came out and celebrated whatever he was celebrating. Teddy Long announced Bryan vs. Orton for next week.

With the Raw Elimination Chamber match announced Monday night, I think the SmackDown Elimination Chamber match will be the better of the two at the pay-per-view later this month with a stronger lineup than the red brand.

Even though Daniel Bryan walks out of the Chamber with his World Heavyweight Championship, the match has more potential to entertaining at Elimination Chamber instead of the Raw match, where it will likely center on CM Punk and Chris Jericho.

While Bryan is probably one of the best wrestlers on the current WWE roster, I just can’t get excited about him headlining WrestleMania in April as the World Heavyweight Champion in a match most likely against Royal Rumble winner, Sheamus.

The expanding heel turn of Daniel Bryan is going to keep fans interested in him as Bryan’s continued talk about being a role model and a vegan will make fans turn against him until he’s the heel going into WrestleMania in April.

After yet another squash match versus Heath Slater by the Funkasaurus, Brodus Clay needs to have a real match instead of just coming out dancing, doing his splash in the corner and hitting his finisher for the victory.

The match that Clay had with Drew McIntyre at the Royal Rumble was the best match since his return, as you saw McIntyre take it to him instead of just getting squashed by the funky one.

I’ll be honest that I thoroughly enjoy Clay’s segments as he makes his way to the ring with his dancers on Raw and SmackDown but he needs to add more to his character so he’s just not a silly gimmick.

Even though Orton and Barrett went at it in the main event on this edition of SmackDown, I still have a feeling the WWE will try to stretch out the rivalry between the two through Elimination Chamber into a WrestleMania match this April.

While Orton has been a multiple time champion in the WWE, I would love to see Wade Barrett with either the WWE or World Heavyweight Championship sometime in 2012 during this renewed push that started in late 2011.

Overall, I thought this was a good SmackDown on paper as the B show for the WWE is continuing to close the gap between it and Raw.

So Bleachers, how would you grade the most recent SmackDown? Also, do you think the SmackDown Elimination Chamber will be a better match than the Raw Elimination Chamber at the pay-per-view on February 19th?
