Mike Tyson: Another Celebrity Induction Proves WWE Hall of Fame Is a Joke

Former heavyweight champion and boxing legend Mike Tyson is getting yet another honor this year when he will be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame.

The good news for fans is that the WWE Hall of Fame is just a make-believe place in Vince McMahon’s head and it has no real relevance on which stars actually deserve the honor. Don’t believe me?

Please tell me why Randy Savage and Bruno Sammartino aren’t in the WWE Hall of Fame then. Savage is one of the most popular stars the business ever saw and Sammartino was the longest reigning World Champion in the history of the business.

So why aren’t they in? Oh that’s right, it’s because McMahon holds grudges and allows those personal feelings to get in the way of correct decision-making.

Despite the phoniness of the event, Tyson told TMZ about the honor of going into a fake Hall of Fame:

I am honored to be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame. I was the youngest heavyweight champion of all time, but the most fun I ever had in the ring was with WWE.

"

That should quiet the doubters that said he wasn’t crazy anymore.

Every time the WWE announces the non-wrestling inductees it just hurts my soul even more. While I loved what Tyson did in the WWE with Stone Cold, there is no way that the WWE can justify this move over the currently excluded legends.

As a wrestling fan, there is nothing that pains me more than seeing the guys that gave their blood sweat and tears for the wrestling industry buried because of qualms with Vince McMahon; a man that is notoriously hard to deal with.

I love watching wrestling, but the fact that there is no centralized WRESTLING Hall of Fame is as much a sentiment of the WWE’s lack of willingness to work with outside groups as it does a lack of desire for such a structure.

To be honest, I’m not that bothered by Tyson’s introduction into the WWE Hall of Fame. He may be the one person as crazy as Vinny Mac left in this world.
