WWE Royal Rumble Predictions: Who's Going to Wrestlemania?
This year's WWE Royal Rumble pay-per-view is loaded with some great matches.
The most exciting match is obviously the Royal Rumble match itself. It will be one of the most unpredictable events in WWE history.
Will Dolph Ziggler win the WWE Championship from CM Punk? Will Mark Henry or Big Show win the World Heavyweight Championship from Daniel Bryan? Will Kane help John Cena embrace the hate and get a big victory?
All these matches are going to be fun. Who will win the Royal Rumble? Will it be the returning Chris Jericho, Mick Foley or Randy Orton? Will it be a rising star such as Wade Barrett or Cody Rhodes? The wildcard is that anybody can participate in the rumble match, including the champions.
Here are my predictions for the Rumble:
John Cena vs. Kane
John Cena and Kane have been involved in a very interesting storyline over the past few months.
Kane came back with his mask and immediately attacked Cena. Kane cut a promo and claimed that Cena needs to "embrace the hate" from the WWE fans who boo him. They even got Zack Ryder involved after Kane attacked Ryder.
Ryder is close friends with Cena, so Kane stalked him and chokeslammed him out of action. Who's going to win this match? Cena will win either by pinfall or disqualification. He needs this victory to build up his WrestleMania match with the Rock.
Will Cena turn heel and "embrace the hate"? It won't happen tonight.
World Heavyweight Championship Triple Threat Steel Cage Match
Daniel Bryan (c) vs. Big Show vs. Mark Henry
This storyline between these three has been going on for quite sometime. These are the only two who have challenged Daniel Bryan for his belt ever since he won.
The Bryan heel turn is happening soon. He has been teasing the turn for the past month with his promos on the Big Show. Will it happen tonight?
Bryan needs this win to continue to get over as the champion. Can Big Show or Mark Henry regain the gold? Bryan will win this match in some way. He will most likely win dirty to keep the heel turn and his big push going. It will be an exciting match, nonetheless.
WWE Championship Match
CM Punk (c) vs. Dolph Ziggler Special Referee: John Laurinaitis
This feud has been building for awhile.
Ziggler's been targeting the WWE Championship ever since he joined Monday Night Raw. These two have had some great matches over the past few months. The wildcard in this match is referee John Laurinaitis, who has a bone to pick with Punk. Laurinaitis has already said he won't interfere in the match and cost Punk the title.
This will be another great match, but Punk will retain the title. Ziggler will eventually win the title, but it won't happen tonight. Punk will win when Laurinatis gets knocked out and another ref comes in to make the three count.
Royal Rumble Match
The 30-man Royal Rumble match is the most exciting match of the year. Anybody can win this year, so it will be interesting to see what direction WWE creative wants to go.
Chris Jericho's return to the WWE earlier this month was a huge deal. Randy Orton's return from a serious injury is another interesting story. Will a shocking WWE returnee, such as Christian or Undertaker, win the match?
This has to be the most unpredictable rumble match ever.
My prediction is that Chris Jericho will win. CM Punk will retain the gold and Jericho will win so that it will set up this inevitable feud. Jericho has never won a Rumble match, and this will hype his return even more.
As Jericho said last Monday, "This Sunday at the Royal Rumble the world will come to an end."
Winner: Chris Jericho
