Real Madrid is still top of the league as La Liga has passed the halfway mark. Things continue to shift little by little as clubs like Athletic Bilbao and Atletico Madrid continue to slowly climb up the table, whilst clubs like Sevilla head the other way.

Real Zaragoza is falling behind at the bottom of the table and now needs six points to catch up to its nearest competitor, Sporting Gijon.

Here are the predictions for Round 20 of La Liga.

Espanyol vs. Mallorca

Espanyol and Mallorca have only six points separating them despite being fifth and 14th in the league respectively. Both teams picked up wins last week, but Espanyol has home advantage and is the stronger team

Prediction: Espanyol, 2-0

Rayo Vallecano vs. Athletic Bilbao

Rayo Vallecano has the better overall form in the last three games—two wins and a loss compared to one win, one draw and one loss—but Athletic Bilbao is the stronger team.

Prediction: Athletic Bilbao, 2-1

Real Madrid vs. Real Zaragoza

Things aren't going to get easier for Real Zaragoza in this game. The end result may not be too pretty.

Prediction: Real Madrid, 4-0

Villarreal vs. Barcelona

Villarreal picked up a win last week after a tough few rounds, but face a tough one here. Barcelona's away form hasn't been the greatest, but they did beat Malaga last week.

Prediction: Barcelona, 3-1

Real Betis vs. Granada CF

Real Betis has steadied itself a little in recent weeks and will be looking to pick up all three points again this weekend. Granada CF has two wins and seven losses in away games.

Prediction: Real Betis, 1-0

Real Sociedad vs. Sporting Gijon

Real Sociedad has three straight losses and Sporting Gijon hasn't fared any better with two losses and a win in its last few games.

Prediction: Draw, 2-2

Levante vs. Getafe

Levante is still going strong in the top and while they have dropped points here and there, they do not show any signs of letting up so far. Getafe is in a decent position in the league, but they will have to get past a tough Levante team at home.

Prediction: Levante, 1-0

Racing Santander vs. Valencia

The last time these two teams met, they played a 4-3 thriller in the first game of the season. History may not repeat itself, but both teams are in need of points so it may be a good game.

Prediction: Valencia, 3-2

Malaga vs. Sevilla

These two teams are right beside each other in the standings and have failed to live up to expectations this season. Neither team has been in a good run of form, so this could be an open game from two teams that need the points.

Prediction: Draw, 2-2

Osasuna vs. Atletico Madrid

Osasuna has been a very tough team to beat at home and Atletico Madrid's away form has been very poor. This will be a tough game for both teams, but Atletico Madrid may just be able to pull it off.

Prediction: Atletico Madrid, 2-1
