UFC middleweight contender Chael Sonnen is known for nearly dethroning Anderson Silva and for having the biggest mouth in the sport.

Sonnen's trash talk is harsh, funny, and downright crazy at times.

While Sonnen can be entertaining, many people would rather see him keep his mouth shut.

Easier said than done.

Here are a few guys who we would love to see help Sonnen in the silence department.

Wanderlei Silva

Wanderlei Silva and Chael Sonnen aren't new to each other.

Silva didn't take too kind to some of Sonnen's words about Brazil and let him know it face to face

Despite this, Sonnen continued to talk trash and their feud grew in 2011.

Although Silva is in the twilight of his career, it would have been nice for all the anti-Sonnen fans to see Silva land some knees straight into his face.

Preferred Method of Silence: Muay Thai Knees to the face

Jon Jones

Chael Sonnen has called out various fighters over the past two years.

One of which is UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Jones.

Jones responded to the call out on twitter saying "Somebody tell Chael he knows where I'll be waiting."

Love him or hate him, Jones is one of the most dominate fighters in MMA today.

Imagine Jones choking Sonnen out cold and leaving his body seemingly lifeless on the mat.

Preferred Method of Silence: guillotine choke

Vitor Belfort

Vitor Belfort is another guy who has traded blows with Sonnen.

Belfort and Sonnen went back and forth towards the end of 2011 when Sonnen was making his return to the UFC.

Belfort didn't take too kindly to Sonnen talking bad about Brazil and claimed Sonnen's talk was to make up for his boring fights.

Belfort would do his best to try to knockout Sonnen.

Preferred Method of Silence: Many quick, hard punches to the face

Dan Henderson

Dan Henderson and Chael Sonnen are two guys who get along for the most part.

Both trained with Team Quest at one time or another, both are great wrestlers, and both would love another shot at Anderson Silva.

But Henderson makes the list because he's been known to shut annoying talkers up.

Just ask Michael Bisping.

Preferred Method of Silence: H-Bomb

Lyoto Machida

Another fighter who has gone back and forth with Sonnen is Lyoto Machida.

The two recently tweeted with each other, with Sonnen calling Machida "pee pee mouth."

Although some fans hate Machida's elusive Karate fight style, he has left us with some memorable knock outs.

Preferred Method of Silence: Crane Kick to the Face

Quinton "Rampage" Jackson

Chael Sonnen's been known to throw jabs at PRIDE fighting championships and Rampage in the past.

While you would expect Jackson to talk trash back, he went light against Sonnen in a press conference last year saying , “Something’s wrong with him. For real. Something’s wrong with him. You know? When people are slow and stuff like that, you kinda just like pity them. So I don’t even concentrate on Chael Sonnen.”

Jackson may not be the same Jackson that fought in Pride, but it would be nice to see if he could slam Sonnen into the mat.

Preferred Method of Silence: Power Bomb

Georges St-Pierre

Georges St-Pierre is one of the nicest guys in the sport.

He never really engages in trash talk. Even when he does, he comes off as respectful.

Although some fans don't like St-Pierre for not being able to finish his fights, perhaps taking on someone like Sonnen would motivate him more.

Sonnen has expressed interest in taking on GSP and threw a few jabs at him at the same time.

It would be interesting to see how St-Pierre responds in the Octagon

Preferred Method of Silence: Out-wrestling Sonnen and finishing him with ground and pound or stiff jabs to the face

Michael Bisping

One guy who is perhaps more hated than Sonnen is Michael Bisping.

Bisping is known for being cocky and arrogant much like Sonnen.

Thanks to this fight being signed on such short notice, we won't get to see the trash talk that could have been.

But it could still make for a great match up between two of the biggest heels in the sport.

Bisping is looking to make an impact and prove to the world that he is a top contender. What better way to do it than shutting up Sonnen at UFC on FOX 2.

Preferred Method of Silence: Knees and punches

Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira

Antonio "Minatauro" Nogueira has been one of Sonnen's biggest victims over the years.

Aside from his lack of respect for Nogueira giving Silva a black belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Sonnen disrespected Nogueira's home of Brazil.

Although Nogueira is heading toward the end of his career, many fans would love to see him make Sonnen tap.

Preferred Method of Silence: Choke or Arm Bar

Anderson Silva

It's no secret why Anderson Silva is on this list.

After losing most of their fight, Silva caught Sonnen in a triangle armbar and made him tap.

Since then, Sonnen has claimed he really won the fight and is the "Real" middleweight champion.

There's bad blood between Sonnen and Silva, and the two should fight one more time.

Preferred Method of Silence: Front kick to the face
