WWE WrestleMania 28: Why the Rock vs. John Cena Will Not Be the Best Match

The Rock vs. John Cena has been the match that the WWE has been pushing on all of us for the past year. And yet, as we draw close to the road to WrestleMania, it looks as though this match may be the third- or fourth-best match on the card.

The matches that we already know to be taking place are as follows: Rock vs. John Cena, Undertaker vs. Triple H (speculated), CM Punk vs. Chris Jericho (speculated), Big Show vs Shaq.

The Undertaker match will be the best match of the show. This match has been the best for the past five or six WrestleManias, and I do not see that changing here. The Undertaker could return four weeks before and still have a decent buildup to the match. Also, with The Undertaker, he constantly delivers great matches time and again; this match will be no different, as both men know what they have to do to get over.

CM Punk vs. Chris Jericho, even though it is currently only rumored, could be one of the better matches at WrestleMania. You have two of the best wrestlers in the world going at it, and with that I wouldn't be surprised if this match rivals The Undertaker match. Even if this match does not happen, the possibilities for both men are endless. CM Punk vs. Dolph Ziggler would also be a huge sell for the show and would free up more possibilities for Y2J.

Big Show vs. Shaq has all but been confirmed for WrestleMania and will be a big selling point to non-WWE fans. Shaq is a bigger draw than Floyd Mayweather is, and it will be interesting to see if they can't get him to make appearances before April 1st. Big Show is also a great wrestler and will make this a fun match of the giants.

These three matches, along with others that I have not mentioned, like Daniel Bryan vs. whomever and Zack Ryder vs, whomever, all seem to outshine Rock vs. John Cena. I understand that this isn't a bad thing, but for the WWE, who has put in so much money in a year of buildup, why would you downgrade this match so much?

The Rock vs. John Cena can be a great match, and I will be excited to see it, but in all honesty, it is not the reason why I will be buying this year's WrestleMania.
