Mark Henry: The Latest on Why He Is a Future WWE Hall of Famer

Justin WatryJun 7, 2018

As some may recall, I wrote article after article months ago practically begging for Mark Henry to get the respect he has earned over his 15-year career. I covered him over and over trying to gain new members for his bandwagon that was about to fill up.

Nobody jumped on.

The premise was simple. Mark Henry was a future WWE Hall of Famer, and nobody even realized it. To have a legend finishing up his career with next to no fanfare was not sitting well with me.

Sadly, a recent injury has slowed his momentum down once again. I have said it over and over. The only man stopping Mark Henry was himself. He has been his own worst enemy for the past decade. The same could be said about Edge as well.

Right when they start making huge progress, "something" always seems to come up. Well, it happened again. My thoughts on him even being on WWE TV are well known.

I do not like it. He should be at home resting.

Mark is serving no purpose limping around taking next to no "bumps" every match. Let the big guy heal up, so he is bigger and better when he is at full strength.

According to this new report, we now know why Mark Henry is still being used on WWE TV. The story notes that WWE offered Henry time off, but he turned them down.

First, let me state that safety comes first. If the man is injured, he should be taking the time off and healing up before he does something even worse to his body.

Secondly, how can you not respect Mark Henry now? I understand he has all of his haters, doubters and cynics out there before this past summer, but now? I am really begging for somebody not to give this man his props.

Working through in an injury is one thing. Doing so after 15 years and declining time off is another. The man continues to work hard for a company that has not always been in his corner.

They call that being a professional.

I won't name names, but a few others could learn from a man like Mark Henry. Complain about "not being used right" or "being held down" or any other lame excuse as to why you're unhappy.

All the years. All the "storylines" he was given. All the injuries. All the criticism. Henry is still doing his job to the best of his ability.

To still be putting his all into a product after 15 years ago? How many people can you name that have even been employed by WWE for 15 straight years? The list is small. Try and name me a few...

Excuse me while I stand up and applaud this man once again! His status as a future WWE Hall of Famer keeps rising as the days go by.

I, for one, realize his greatness. Do you?

REMINDER: I am now on Twitter @JustinWatry! I give every new follower a special shout out, so do not be shy...thanks.
