World Football: The 6 Best Hat Tricks of the Premier League Season so Far

0 of 6

The 2011/2012 season is already warming up to be one of the best ever, and we haven't being let down in the goals department.

There have been 509 goals scored in total this season, 33 of these have come in the form of hat tricks, with six players having scored 10 goals or more so far this season.

Here's a look at the best hat tricks of the season so far.

Dimitar Berbatov vs. Wigan Athletic

1 of 6

In Manchester United's Boxing Day fixture against relegation-embattled Wigan, Dimitar Berbatov staked his claim for a place in the Manchester United side with a stylish hat trick reminiscent of hat-trick scoring exploits of last season.

Demba Ba vs. Blackburn Rovers

It still baffles me how Newcastle were able to get Demba Ba on a free transfer.

The Senegalese striker began his Newcastle with a 3-1 win against Blackburn Rovers, scoring all three goals.

He has since gone on to score another hat trick this season, this time against Stoke City.

Robin Van Persie vs. Chelsea

Coming into this fixture at Stamford Bridge, it was widely believed across the media that Arsenal were a club in disarray.

However, the three wonderfully taken goals by Arsenal captain Robin van Persie in this match helped Arsenal and Arsene Wenger to a much-needed three points.

Wayne Rooney vs. Bolton Wanderers

Wayne Rooney's first hat trick of the season came in spectacular fashion against a poor Bolton Wanderers side.

While there was widespread acceptance that Sir Alex Ferguson's side was playing some of the best football in the league, no one expected the result they ended up with.

Sergio Aguero vs. Wigan Athletic

Manchester City's Sergio Aguero announced his arrival in the Premier League with this wonderful hat trick against Wigan Athletic that matched Wayne Rooney's haul at Bolton.

Wayne Rooney vs. Arsenal

Arsenal fans will have erased the memory of this match from their minds, but Manchester United fans will remember the victory for a long time—not just for the result, but the incredible Wayne Rooney hat trick.
