We've all heard that famous saying of, "Did that just that?"
Well, that one-liner is used often in the sport of mixed martial arts as it's home to some martial artists who— plain and simple—don't look like fighters.
Often times, we wonder how a specific fighter has accomplished the things he has over the course of his career as he looks as if he should be fulfilling a career outside of the sport
However, someway or another, these fighters have overcome their appearance and have displayed successful careers.
Even still, these fighters don't look the part.
So, the following slides display five MMA fighters who don't look the part.
While Roy Nelson has recently trimmed down, he remains one of the mixed martial artists who just don't look like a fighter.
Instead, it appears "Big Country" should be taking part in stand-up comedy as he's also one of the funniest fighters in the UFC today.
Don't judge a book by its cover.
Apple Software technician right?
While Joe Lauzon may come across as a "computer geek" if you will, he's far from it.
In fact, Lauzon has quietly become one of the most underrated submission artists in MMA today, totaling 17 for his career.
With a quick glance at Fedor Emelianenko, one would think he's your average Russian.
But, that would be a mistake as Fedor has established himself as one of the greatest fighters of all time even with a recent collapse.
In fact, Fedor went nearly 10 years without a single defeat leading up to his bout with Fabricio Werdum at Fedor vs. Werdum.
Looks are deceiving.
Miguel Torres recently was cut by UFC President Dana White for sexual comments made through his Twitter.
Torres will have plenty of more opportunities as he's only in his teens.
Actually, despite looking like one of the youngest fighters in MMA today, Torres is already 30 years old and looks like he belongs anywhere but inside an Octagon or ring.
Danny Downes may be 25 years of age, but he only looks about half of that.
Downes is currently on the worst stretch of his MMA career as he's lost three of his last five bouts.
To make matters worse, Downes looks as if he belongs at a high school car wash.
