It’s win or take a seat Sunday night in New York.

The Dallas Cowboys face their bitter division rival, the New York Football Giants, for the division title and a chance to go to the playoffs.

Let’s take a look at a few playoff teams the Cowboys would like to face. The road to the Super Bowl is as hard as the opponents one faces.

Here are five teams the Cowboys matchup well against.

Atlanta Falcons

The Dirty Birds rank 19th against the pass, giving up over 230 yards through the air per game. For a coach like Jason Garrett, he daydreams about facing teams like this.

The Falcons aren't a pushover, but Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo averages almost 300 passing yards per game and has almost 4,000 for the season. I believe the Cowboys will try to pass against Atlanta, don't you think?

If only Dallas still had rookie sensation DeMarco Murray, then things could really pop, as there would be something called "balance" added to Dallas' offensive attack. But alas, no such thing may exist if Dallas faces the Falcons.

In the end, I think the Cowboys would beat the Birds and move on to the second round.

Detroit Lions

Sigh…It was all a dream/I used to read Word-Up magazines/Salt—sorry.

The Cowboys have heard this song before, rapped the lyrics and performed at the concert. They just dropped the mic, turned out the lights and unplugged the amp before the crowd went home.

See what I did there?

Anyway, the Lions and ‘Boys met in Week 4, where Dallas jumped out to a 24-point lead. They promptly decided to drop the mic right before Biggie’s “Now we sip champagne when we thirs-tay” lyric. Tony Romo threw touchdowns and three interceptions to help the Lions on their comeback.

The Lions have had a recent resurgence and have secured a place in the playoffs. The Cowboys secondary does not match well against the Lions' freakishly athletic wide receiver, Calvin Johnson. But there is a reason Dallas had a 24-point lead in the first place.

The Cowboys would not squander another opportunity to beat the Lions and would finish the entire song instead of just one verse this go 'round.

San Francisco 49ers

Let's count down the 'Niners losses this season. The Ravens, Cardinals, and that other team. You know, they lost to the team that has the quarterback with the cracked ribs.

The Dallas Cowboys.

Everybody’s favorite bandwagon team this season, sans the Lions, lost to the ‘Boys way back in Week 2. Dallas won by three points behind 345 Tony Romo passing yards and an extra large game by receiver Miles Austin.

The Niners are a much improved team, and if this game fell in maybe eight instead, the outcome may have been different. But it wasn’t, and at the time many thought that the Cowboys struggled to win. Turns out they beat one of the league’s best teams.

I think that it would happen again.

The 49ers win with tough defense, a heavy dose of the running game and they play mistake free. Count me in to believe that Dallas could do it to the 49ers again.

New Orleans Saints

Here is why I picked the Saints over the Packers: Aaron Rodgers has six interceptions and Drew Brees has 13. Brees is more prone to throw the pick than Rodgers, as he has seven more. That only makes him a little less than super human instead of just regular super human.

The 'Boys have beat the Saints in the past and came close to doing it again last season. New Orleans bested Dallas by three points on Thanksgiving with Jon Kitna as the quarterback.

The Saints would throw the ball 40-plus times against Dallas, and Drew Brees would shred the Cowboys secondary. But Tony Romo would throw just as much, and if Felix Jones is healthy, he would add a small element of balance.

I do not think that Dallas would beat New Orleans in the Mercedes-Benz Superdome, but the Cowboys would keep it close and respectable.

Green Bay Packers

How do I truly feel about the Packers?

I love that commercial.

At any rate, the 'Boys would lose to the Packers, as they would just outscore Dallas. It would be in the cold, in Green Bay and Rodgers would throw wild on Dallas' secondary. It will not be the 45-7 beating the 'Boys took last year but more in the range of 35-27 this time around.

It would all hinge on the Cowboys secondary, and if there is no pressure applied to Rodgers or the secondary is left in man situations, then look out.

Rodgers could have a career day.
