CFB 2012-13 Bowls: Updated Broadcast Information, Payouts and Favorites
The bowl season is upon us and 'tis the season to plan our holiday’s around which games are worthy of our time. This year’s list really does have some lesser bowls that landed quality matchups due in large part to preseason favorites not meeting expectations.
Another issue that played to the bowls' strengths is the number of quality teams that were able to compete with the power conferences. So we really have a little something for everyone on this year’s list.
As for bowl payouts the BCS this year will hand out checks of $17 million dollars to each school playing in Rose, Orange, Sugar and Fiesta bowl games. $18 million will go to Notre Dame and Alabama for playing in the National Championship Game in Miami. The smallest checks go to Utah State and Toledo who will each receive $325,000 to play in Boise at the Famous Idaho Potato Bowl.
Here is the complete list of postseason bowls, where you can find them on TV, the amounts they will be paying each school and who are the favorites according to College Football Team Rankings.
