Nick Chubb carried the Georgia Bulldogs to a 33-24 victory over the North Carolina Tar Heels in the Chick-fil-A Kickoff Game at the Georgia Dome on Saturday.

The junior running back torched North Carolina for 222 yards and two touchdowns on 32 carries. Chubb provided the dagger with a 55-yard scamper late in the fourth quarter.

Highly touted freshman Jacob Eason made his college debut, finishing 8-of-12 and leading the go-ahead scoring drive. He also flipped a touchdown to Isaiah McKenzie, who paced the Bulldogs with six receptions, 122 yards and a score.

North Carolina's offense struggled to find a rhythm against a stout Georgia defense. Mitch Trubisky threw for just 156 yards during his first game as the starter.
