College Football's Most Important Offers of the Week
One of the nation’s most sought-after corners in the 2016 cycle is 4-star Texas standout Jared Mayden.
The 6’0”, 190-pounder rates as the nation’s No. 11 corner and the No. 134 player overall in the 2016 class.
Last week, the touted Lone Star State defender added his 45th offer, this one coming from SEC power Georgia:

The offer came on the heels of a visit to Athens with 3-star corner and Bulldogs commitment Chad Clay.
"They offered today,” Mayden told Kipp Adams of Dawgs247. “It was a good visit, but with time winding down on my recruiting it may be a little too late. But I'll give them a good chance because my friend Chad Clay is committed there."
According to Bleacher Report’s Damon Sayles, Mayden has since released a list of his top seven schools, with Georgia missing the cut despite being the most recent school to get him on campus.
Alabama, Florida, Florida State, Michigan, Ohio State, Oregon and UCLA are the schools that did make his list.
As Sayles notes, Mayden plans to make his commitment at The Opening early next month.
"I'm just looking for a school that has a good tradition and stable coaches," Mayden told Sayles. "I'm trying to go somewhere and win, but it's really going to depend on how I feel about the coaching staff."

Michigan Offers Pair of 2016 Florida Standouts
Earlier this month, Michigan head coach Jim Harbaugh and his staff headed to the Sunshine State to work camps in Tampa and Miami as part of the Wolverines' Summer Swarm tour.
Last week, the Wolverines handed out offers to a pair of prospects—one from each Florida hotbed—in 3-star corner Jayvaughn Myers and 3-star receiver Keyshawn Young.
Harbaugh got to watch Myers—who has more than 20 offers—up close at the Sound Mind, Sound Body camp in Detroit earlier this month.
Meanwhile, Young has a trio of out-of-state schools—Alabama, Georgia and USC—currently trending in his recruitment.
The Wolverines, who already have commitments from four Florida prospects, are looking to add to that list with their latest two offers.

Miami After 2017 4-Star DE
Miami was able to land a big-time pickup earlier this month when 2017 Tampa tight end Tre' McKitty committed to the Hurricanes.
Last week, head coach Al Golden and his staff tendered an offer to McKitty’s good friend and 4-star defensive end Zachary Carter.
The 6’5”, 240-pound Carter has offers from Clemson, Florida, Mississippi State and Penn State among others.
However, as noted by Ryan Bartow of 247Sports, the ‘Canes joined Clemson and Florida as teams that are currently standing out to the No. 134 player overall in the 2017 cycle.

USC Offers 2017 Alabama 4-Star OL Commit
Last week, USC had a wealth of talent on campus for its Rising Stars camp.
One prospect who shined at the Trojans' summer showcase was 2017 4-star offensive lineman and current Alabama commitment Netori Johnson.

The 6’5”, 330-pounder made the trek to Los Angeles with prep teammate and 2016 4-star defensive tackle Antwuan Jackson.
Johnson holds early offers from Auburn, Georgia, Kentucky, N.C. State and Ole Miss among others.
