The college football season is winding down, and that means that the college football bowl season is near.

Even if they lose in the SEC Championship game against Georgia, the LSU Tigers are a virtual lock for the BCS Championship game.
Les Miles has his Tigers poised to run the table and win another National Championship. Only time will tell if they finish with the championship, but it is a guarantee that the Tigers play in a BCS bowl.

With all due respect to the Auburn Tigers and the Iron Bowl, the Crimson Tide are very focused on this game. This last hurdle is the only thing standing in the way of a BCS bowl for the Tide.
With that in mind, there is no need to look for an upset in this game. The Crimson Tide will roll and get the invite to the National Championship game.
The Tide, along with the LSU Tigers, are the easiest selection to get an invite to the BCS bowl games, but there are other teams that should get serious consideration.

The Houston Cougars remained undefeated with a blowout victory over Tulsa. Quarterback Case Keenum and the Cougars proved that they belong among the elite in college football.
Keenum is the best player on the team and is a Heisman candidate, but the ultimate goal is to win a BCS bowl game and prove that they belong.
Houston should play in the Sugar Bowl and crash the BCS bowl party.

The Oregon Ducks lost a tough game to the USC Trojans which shattered their national title hopes, but they will still play in a BCS bowl. They have a great program, a fun offense and a quality team that would make for a great bowl game.
Chip Kelly has taken this program to a new level, and they deserve a BCS bowl game. Look for the Ducks to represent the Pac-12 in the Rose Bowl.

Despite a recent loss, Andrew Luck is still the best player in college football and one of the front-runners for the Heisman Trophy. He is just the kind of player that the BCS bowl games want to showcase on a national stage.
Look for Luck and the Cardinal to head to the Fiesta Bowl and join these teams on the BCS bowl schedule.
Anything can happen down the stretch in college football, but for right now, these five teams will go to a BCS bowl game.
