The most wonderful time of the year, figuratively speaking, is one day away from beginning and it is time for my complete predictions and scores for all 34 bowl games! This year's games feature some of the best match-ups I believe we have seen in a number of years.

Some of these teams are so evenly matched that winners and losers were tough calls; yet, I did my best to choose who it thought was the better team overall.

Enjoy the picks and feel free to chime in with your own predictions! Let the the games begin!

Eaglebank Bowl: Wake Forest vs Navy

Display_image

Wake Forest lost during the regular season to Navy, I don't see it happening again. Navy runs the ball extremely well but with no pass offense to compliment it. I see the Demon Deacons stacking the box forcing Navy to throw.

24-16 Wake Forest wins
Confidence: Medium

New Mexico Bowl: Colorado State vs Fresno State

Display_image

Colorado State is much improved from last year and Fresno State is a huge disappointment. With that said, I think coach Pat Hill has his Bulldogs ready to play and I see a fairly high scoring game here. The difference will be Fresno State's rushing attack.

41-31 Fresno State wins
Confidence: Medium-high

Magicjack St. Petersburg Bowl: Memphis vs South Florida

Display_image

South Florida is a better team than thy have shown this year and have been a huge disappointment. Most people didn't expect Memphis to make a bowl this year, but they proved the doubters wrong.

I don't see this game being very close or competitive. USF's defense is too fast and their offense has too many weapons for the Tigers to contain.

38-17 South Florida wins
Confidence: High

Pioneer Las Vegas Bowl: No. 16 BYU vs Arizona

Display_image

This is one of the less publicized bowl games that I actually think will be a very good one. Both teams should put up points but turnovers will play the biggest part in deciding this game.

If Arizona wins the turnover battle, which I think they will, I see a close victory for the Wildcats. While most of the attention will be on the Arizona and BYU passing attacks, the U of A running game will be another key to an upset.

31-27 Arizona wins
Confidence: Pretty Low

Carriers New Orleans Bowl: Southern Miss vs Troy

Display_image

Troy played LSU tough, in fact, the should have beat them. The very next week I figured they would have nothing left and lose, instead they won in a blowout. Southern Miss is improving but I think Troy is the best Sun Belt team in a long time, their offense will cruise in this one.

37-17 Troy wins
Confidence: High

San Diego Credit Union Poinsettia Bowl: No. 9 Boise State vs No. 12 TCU

Display_image

This could be one of the better games all bowl season and I am looking forward to watching this gam very much. Both teams are very talented and going to be prepared for a big time game.

TCU has the better defense and Boise St. the better offense. I think the difference in this game will be Boise State's coaching and experience in bowl games. I see a close, low-scoring game that will come down to the fourth quarter.

20-13 Boise State wins
Confidence: Fairly low

Motor City Bowl: Florida Atlantic vs Central Michigan

Display_image

This game will be a snoozer, sorry FAU and CMU fans. I think Central Michigan will throw for around 400 yards and at least four touchdowns. FAU has a decent offense but their secondary is weak and will be picked apart all night long.

49-24 Central Michigan wins
Confidence: Very high

Sheraton Hawaii Bowl: Notre Dame vs Hawaii

Display_image

This is going to be a very intriguing game, like it or not. Notre Dame has been a huge disappoint to say the least and if they lose another bowl game, Charlie's seat is going to be hot all offseason long.

Hawaii has a huge home field advantage here and I think it is just enough to pull off the victory. I see a few bad turnovers in this game for Clausen and the Irish's passing game.

28-27 Hawaii wins
Confidence: Low

Meineke Car Care Bowl: West Virginia vs North Carolina

Display_image

Pat White has had an incredible career and as time passes on we will all look back and truly appreciate the player he was. North Carolina is a team on the rise and could very well win this one, but I simply can't see White ending his career with a loss.

Plus, if last year's Fiesta Bowl was any indication of Coach Stewart's ability to prepare for a bowl game, I think the Mountaineers are headed for a close victory.

27-20 West Virginia wins (Even if Noel Devine is unavailable)
confidence: Low Medium

Champs Sports Bowl: Wisconsin vs Florida State

Display_image

While this game has some big time names and big time programs, I don't think this one will be very close. Wisconsin struggled late in the season and nearly lost to a "cupcake" team they paid to come to Wisconsin.

P.J. Hill won't have a big game vs the Noles defense and we all know how dreadful the Badgrs passing attack is. The Noles offense should be able to put up some points and I see a rather easy victory for Bobby Bowden and FSU.

36-17 Florida State wins
Confidence: High

Emerald Bowl: Miami vs California

Display_image

One name you will be hearing after this game... Jahvid Best. He averages 8.0 yards a carry and has incredible break away speed. Combine that with Miami's weak rushing defense, and it spells a big game for Cal's offense.

Miami gave up over 400 yards to Georgia Tech and even Florida State ran all over the Canes' defense. It also doesn't hurt Cal that this game is happening in basically their backyard.

38-20 Cal wins
Confidence: High

Independence Bowl: Northern Illinois vs Louisiana Tech

Display_image

ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ. Sorry, just woke up in time to make the pick. Too bad this game isn't on the NFL Network, it is going to be too painful to watch.

28-14 LA Tech wins
Confidence: Fairly high

Papajohns.com Bowl- Rutgers vs NC State

Display_image

I see a big game for both quarterbacks here but a bigger one for Mike Teel of Rutgers. Both teams started terribly slow and finished very strong.

I think Rutgers' experience will be key in this game as NC State is a very young and inexperienced team. This could be an up and down game with a lot of offense, should be exciting.

35-27 Rutgers wins
Confidence: Medium

Alamo Bowl: No. 21 Missouri vs No. 23 Northwestern

Display_image

While most people are picking and expecting the high power Big 12 offensive team to win, I however don't. I think missouri is going to be unmotivated and not ready to play.

Plus, Northwestern has enough defense to somewhat hold the Tigers down. I see a higher scoring game because Missou can't stop anyone.

33-31 Northwestern wins
Confidence: Very low

Humanitarian Bowl: Maryland vs Nevada

Display_image

Maryland has never played on the blue turf before and Nevada has. Maryland has been playing horrible football as of late and Nevada has been laying much better including a close lose to Boise State.

I think Nevada has enough offense and enough of a locational edge to knock off the Terps.

34-24 Nevada wins
Confidence: Medium low

Holiday Bowl: No. 13 Oklahoma State vs No. 17 Oregon

Display_image

Four words for you: DON'T MISS THIS ONE! If you love offense, great running backs, and a lot of speed, you will love this game.

Both teams run the ball as well as anyone in the country and I think this will be the highest scoring game of all the bowl games played this season.

I think the Cowboys have a little more defense than the Ducks, this to me is the difference.

49-42 Oklahoma State wins
Confidence: Medium

Texas Bowl: Western Michigan vs Rice

Display_image

I think this will be a close, high-scoring game. Both teams should have huge passing games but I just have a gut feeling WMU will win in a close battle.

37-34 Western Michigan wins
Confidence: Very low

Armed Forces Bowl: Houston vs Air Force

Display_image

This could very well be another very high-scoring game. The Falcons of Air Force have played all opponents competitively including highly ranked Utah and BYU. I believe they come out on top here and stop Houston enough times on defense.

41-31 Air Force wins
Confidence: Medium

Sun Bowl: Oregon State vs No. 20 Pittsburgh

Display_image

What a game this one should be. Two pretty solid teams with good running games. It is a shame that Oregon State's running back J. Rodgers is out because he is one of the most exciting freshman in a while. P

Pitt's running back, L. McCoy, is a flat-out stud and should have another good game. I think the key to this game will be Oregon State's ability to pass and will a talented and underrated receiving core, I think the Beavers get it done in a tight one!

24-21 Oregon State wins
Confidence: Fairly low

Music City Bowl: No. 24 Boston College vs Vanderbilt

Display_image

Defense, defense and more defense will be seen in this game. The BC Eagles have a great defense and Vanderbilt's offense isn't what one would call explosive. I think BC will dominate this game and win in impressive fashion but the score may not reflect it.

21-9 Boston College Wins
Confidence: Very high

Insight Bowl: Kansas vs Minnesota

Display_image

Minnesota is much improved from the past few years but I still don't think they are good enough to handle KU's offense. The Jayhawks played a tremendous game against Missouri and I see the momentum carrying over to this game. I really don't think this one will be close.

42-23 Kansas wins
Confidence: High

Chick-Fil-A Bowl: LSU vs No. 14 Georgia Tech

Display_image

LSU is a shadow of their former selves and their offense is not very efficient. Georgia Tech has that peculiar run first offense that will give LSU fits even with a few weeks to prepare for it. J. Dwyer should have another huge game and I see the yellow Jackets running wild. LSU will keep it close for a while though.

38-24 Georgia Tech wins
Confidence: Pretty high

Outback Bowl: South Carolina vs Iowa

Display_image

Both teams have very good defenses. Iowa though, has perhaps the best running back in the nation. He has ran for over 100 yards in every game this season and I expect more of the same for S. Greene. I think this will be one of the lowest scoring games this bowl season.

16-10 Iowa wins
Confidence: Medium to high

Capital One Bowl: No. 15 Georgia vs No. 18 Michigan State

Display_image

This will be a better game than most think. Both teams have great running backs but the bulldogs have a better passing game...this will be the difference. The Bulldogs may be a little lethargic since they were expected to make it to at least a BCS bowl but I think they are simply more talented than the Spartans.

31-22 Georgia wins
Confidence: High

Gator Bowl: Nebraska vs Clemson

Display_image

Nebraska is certainly on their way back up and Clemson was a huge disappointment this year.

However, Clemson has been playing much better since the firing of Bowden and I think they have too many weapons for Nebraska to stop.

Both teams will put up their share of points but the Tigers have a little more. Should be a good one.

39-31 Clemson wins
Confidence: Medium

The Rose Bowl: No. 5 USC vs No. 8 Penn State

Display_image

The "Grandaddy of them all" should be a great one! This could be and should be one of the better bowl games this season and I see a defensive battle occurring in sunny Pasadena on New Years Day.

Both teams have very similar statistics but I think USC's defense is a little better and faster than the Nittany Lions think.

This game could go down to the wire and even as a USC fan, I would not be shocked to see Joe Pa win a tight one.

28-20 USC wins
Confidence: Medium high

Orange Bowl: No. 12 Cincinnati vs No. 19 Virginia Tech

Display_image

Probably one of the more boring BCS match-ups in a while but nonetheless, I actually suspect this will be a better game than most people think. This to me is the toughest game to pick and I am not confident in picking the Bearcats but I just think it is Cincy's year.

27-24 Cincinnati wins
Confidence: Very low

Cotton Bowl: No. 7 Texas Tech vs No. 25 Ole Miss

Display_image

This game should be good for a bit but I have a feeling the Red Raiders are out to prove how good they really are. Houston Nutt will have Ole Miss ready but I think Harrell and Crabtree will have a huge day and prove some doubters wrong.

44-28 Texas Tech wins
Confidence: Pretty high

Liberty Bowl: Kentucky vs East Carolina

Display_image

Kentucky has been banged up since about the middle of the season and ECU is coming off a huge win on the last day of regular season. Skip Holtz and company will want this game more and I think they will get it in a very low-scoring game.

17-10 ECU wins
Confidence: Medium

Sugar Bowl: No. 6 Utah vs No. 4 Alabama

Display_image

Most experts and fans think Utah is going to be another Hawaii but I am not one of them. I do think Bama is the better team and will win but I think the Utes will show up ready to play and ready to prove they belong in these games. Coffee will have a big game.

27-17 Alabama wins
Confidence: High

International Bowl: UCONN vs Buffalo

Display_image

Earlier this month when I analyzed some of the bowl games I picked this one as one of the lowest scoring games.

I think UCONN will score on the ground and Buffalo will struggle to put up much offense. This is a game I will probably not watch unless there is nothing else on but it may be more competitive than most think.

17-7 UCONN wins
Confidence: High

Fiesta Bowl: No. 10 Ohio State vs No. 3 Texas

Display_image

Texas has a lot to prove in this game and with an impressive showing here and an Oklahoma win over Florida, the longhorns still have a shot at the AP.

However, I think Ohio State's defense will play well but I really think the buckeyes offense is going to struggle. Texas is going to make T. Pryor beat them and I don't think he can or will.

30-16 Texas wins
Confidence: High

GMAC Bowl: No. 22 Ball State vs Tulsa

Display_image

Old school pic here and an old school shootout this game should be. Both teams will score and score and score. I think the distractions with the coaching staff plus the fact that they lost their undefeated season in their last week, makes Ball State a loser in this game. Great season but Tulsa wins.

45-40 Tulsa wins
Confidence: Low

BCS Championship Game: No. 2 Florida vs No. 1 Oklahoma

Display_image

This could be an instant classic for sure and I would like to see the Sooners win but unfortunately I think the Gators will win. It may be different if Oklahoma was healthier but UF has a little too much defense. Both teams will score but Florida's defense will be the difference.

35-31 Florida wins
Confidence: Medium low
