Nike Pro Combat, Under Armour Uniforms: Oregon, Maryland, Michigan Grades & More

1 of 6

There have been some very exciting games so far during this weekend of college football. But perhaps one of the best things this weekend has been the new uniforms out of some of the premier college football teams.

Nike and Under Armour have combined to make some really sharp looking jerseys, but also some questionable designs for some of these college football teams.

Here are our grades for this weekend's new jerseys around college football.

Michigan Wolverines

2 of 6

The Michigan Wolverines debuted the away version of their retro uniforms from the Notre Dame game Saturday against Michigan State.

There wasn't too much different from the home jerseys against Notre Dame. Personally, I like the look. These jerseys provide Michigan a fresh, new look while still retaining the traditional style and colors of Michigan Wolverine football.

I wasn't too crazy about the shoulder pads because I thought they were a little distracting. But overall, I enjoyed the retro away uniforms for Michigan.

    Grade: B+

Michigan State Spartans

3 of 6

Michigan State unveiled its new Nike Pro Combat uniforms against Michigan and they looked very impressive.

It was somewhat surprising to see the Spartans go for new Pro Combat uniforms because Michigan State has typically favored their classic jersey look. But the change in uniform for the Michigan game was a success.

The uniforms almost seemed like it paid homage to the actual Spartans of ancient Greece with the bronze helmets.

All in all, the uniforms were aesthetically pleasing with the darker shade of green, while still retaining some of the school's classic style.

Maryland Terrapins

4 of 6

The team with the most infamous uniforms this season has been the Maryland Terrapins. Their opening weekend uniforms were some of the ugliest jerseys I have seen in my life.

But their new ones this weekend were much better than the aforementioned jerseys. The all-red combination looked really sharp.

Unlike the opening weekend jerseys, the colors go really well together and the jersey isn't too flashy. They didn't try to do much with the design and the simplicity of this uniform works for Maryland.

The black helmets are a really nice touch, too.

    Grade: B+

Texas Tech Red Raiders

5 of 6

Texas Tech wore the new black tops with the white pants against Kansas State this weekend.

Overall, I enjoyed the new Red Raider uniforms, but there isn't too much stuff that will excite you. Sure, the colors and design look sharper and more modern, but there is nothing too crazy about these new uniforms.

I like the sleeker look for Texas Tech, but give me some more "wow factor" Red Raiders.

    Grade: B-

Oregon Ducks

6 of 6

With a night game scheduled against Arizona State, Oregon busted out one the various uniform combinations that Nike has provided to them over the years.

This weekend, it is all about black and silver for the Oregon Ducks. Personally, I am a huge fan of the different Oregon uniforms of the past and also tonight.

The combination of black and silver looks great on the field—especially the silver wings on the shoulder pads.

This is perhaps one of the more intimidating uniform combinations for Oregon as well. In the picture above, the Ducks wore a similar uniform combination against Arizona State in 2009, but the difference now is the silver pants instead of black, and a silver helmet.

Every year, Oregon always has the most eclectic combinations of jerseys, but they always have the best looking uniforms. And that trend continues.

    Grade: A+
