Purdue University Football Player Sean Matti Missing

Update: Mattie was found dead in Lake Freeman early Tuesday morning. 

Authorities in Carroll County are still searching for missing Purdue Football running back Sean Matti.

According the Journal and Courier, a phone call was made reporting Matti missing at 11:30pm Sunday evening off of Lake Freeman. 

Matti is going into his fifth year with the program and is a walk-on player who is mainly a contributor on the scout team.

The search for Matti is being ramped up as the time he has been missing grows longer.

Police are conducting water searches, home searches, dog searches and even going door to door looking for the Minnesota native.

Everyone around the Lake Freeman area is contributing fully to the effort of finding the player.

Friends and family are running around with fliers while police and fire fighters continue to look in and around the lake.

It is unknown yet if alcohol played a factor in the disappearance.

As for now, the search will go on for Matti as the hours pass.

He was last seen wearing a pair of gray shorts with no shirt or shoes.
