The SEC did nothing but impress in the first weekend. The top of the conference took care of business as expected, and only one team was a disappointment.

The storyline has to be Alabama and their dominance of projected ACC Champ Clemson in the Chick-Fil-A Kickoff. This season looks to be another great one in the best conference in the nation.

1. Georgia Bulldogs
The Dawgs took care of business early against Georgia Southern. Losing DT Jeff Owens was the only bad spot.

2. Florida Gators

The Gators showed how potent their offense is in a blowout of Hawaii. Tebow was effective without having to run the ball a lot.

3. Auburn Tigers

The Tigers D did not slip under a new DC in shutting out UL-Monroe.

4. LSU Tigers
The crowd's mood was subdued with the impending weather, but the Tigers were amped up to beat App State.

5. Alabama Crimson Tide
Alabama physically dominated Clemson on the lines, and they look like they will compete for the SEC title not in a year, but this year.

6. Tennessee Volunteers
The Vols are expected to take care of business tonight vs. UCLA.

7. South Carolina Gamecocks
The Gamecocks may have some issues at QB, but not on defense.

8. Kentucky Wildcats
The defense was very impressive in a 27-2 domination of in-state rival Louisville.

9. Ole Miss Rebels
Houston Nutt beat Memphis better than Ed Ogeron ever did.

10. Vanderbilt Commodores
A bottom SEC team against a top MAC team? No problem for Vandy on the road beating Miami (OH).

11. Arkansas Razorbacks
It was not pretty, but a win is a win.

12. Mississippi State Bulldogs
The only disappointment of the weekend was Sly Croom's loss to La Tech. Offense has not solved issues from last year.

Big Games this weekend: Florida vs Miami, Ole Miss @ Wake Forest, Georgia vs C. Michigan
