College football bowl projections are here, and we're here to talk about a Hurricane.

The Miami Hurricanes to be specific.

Although Miami won't be heading to as big of a game as most people expected, the Canes will still be bowling nonetheless.

Let's take a look at possible bowl scenarios for the now Randy Shannon-less Hurricanes.

Sun Bowl

The Bowl: ACC No. 4 vs. Pac-10 No. 4

The Matchup: Miami vs. Temple (or Toledo)

Why Miami is Here: The Hurricanes are actually the No. 5 team in the ACC, but either Virginia Tech or Florida State will be headed to the Orange Bowl.

That means that Miami will be considered the No. 4 ACC team come bowl selection time. They should end up at the Sun Bowl.

Prediction: Miami 28, Temple 21

Music City Bowl

The Bowl: ACC No. 6 vs. SEC No. 7

The Matchup: Miami vs. Mississippi State

Why Miami is Here: This will depend on what bowls want what ACC teams, but the Music City Bowl generally takes well-known schools.

It's featured teams like Clemson, Kentucky, Florida State and Boston College in recent years.

Prediction: Mississippi State 34, Miami 24

The Bowl: WAC vs. Pac-10 (No.5 or 6)

The Matchup: Boise State vs. Miami

Why Miami is Here: What a ways to fall for the Broncos, huh? Boise State should be in this game as it usually showcases a top team from the WAC.

The Hurricanes are here because no team from the Pac-10 will make it to the game, and the replacement will likely come from the ACC.

Prediction: Boise State 42, Miami 20
