Introducing You to the 2008 Michigan Wolverines

One of my favorite things about going to games was those free programs they hand to everyone just outside the gates. Those things helped out a lot the past five seasons, especially when a new player stepped out on the field and I didn't know their number.

I live in Chicago now and won't be attending many games (I hope to at least make one, either the Wisconsin or MSU game) and those programs won't be in my grasp.

With all the new additions and watching on TV, it'll be hard to know who's who on the field so here's a guide to what numbers match what players.

Here's a depth chart that hopefully isn't too far off the beaten path.

QB-#8 Nick Sheridan, #10 Steven Threet, #3 Justin Feagin

RB-#4 Brandon Minor, #23 Carlos Brown, #24 Kevin Grady, #2 Sam McGuffie, #20 Michael Shaw

FB-#44 Mark Moundros or #32 Vince Helmuth

WR-#13 Greg Matthews, #21 Junior Hemingway, #9 Martavious Odoms, #82 LatTerryal Savoy, #22 Darryl Stonum, #7 Terrance Robinson, #16 Roy Roundtree, #17 Toney Clemons, #26 Zion Babb

TE-#5 Carson Butler, #83 Mike Massey, #86 Kevin Koger, #80 Martell Webb

LT-#71 Mark Ortmann, #79 Perry Dorrestein

LG-#62 Tim McAvoy, #56 Ricky Barnum

C-#60 David Moosman or #50 David Molk

RG-Moosman or #74 John Ferrara

RT-#52 Steve Schilling, #78 Dan O'Neill

DT-#67 Terrance Taylor, #97 Will Johnson

DE-#55 Brandon Graham, #90 Tim Jamison

MLB-#45 Obi Ezeh, #49 John Thompson

OLB-#54 Austin Panter, #9 Marell Evans, #42 J.B. Fitzgerald, #36 Taylor Hill, #8 Jonas Mouton

DB-#14 Morgan Trent, #6 Donovan Warren, #33 Boubacar Cissoko, #12 JT Floyd, #29 Troy Woolfolk

SS-#27 Brandon Harrison, #28 Brandon Smith

FS-#3 Steve Brown, #5 Charles Stewart

P-#41 Zoltan Mesko

K-#84 K.C. Lopata

Hope this helps anyone wondering who #22 is when he lines up wide right or when #33 returns a pick 80 yards for a score. Hey who's #42 laying running backs out? Or who's wearing Mike Hart's old number?

There are a lot of new faces on this team, so get to know them by Saturday and by Sunday they should be household names.
