"LSU Vs. McNeese: Should Les Miles Start Jarrett Lee ?"
Ever since the Tennessee game, coach Les Miles has seen Jarrett Lee throwing the ball to Terrance Toliver with overwhelming success resulting in two heart-stopping victories for LSU.
The combination of Lee to Toliver has been a big missing ingredient from the 2010 LSU Tigers offense. Until Lee's recent arrival as LSU's passing quarterback, senior Terrance Toliver has just been slowly wasting away his eligibility.
But, since LSU has gone to the two quarterback system and Lee has now given the Tigers a passing attack, Toliver is finally getting a chance to show all Tiger fans and the world what a great receiver he really is.

So, it isn't like Lee has not produced statistical numbers worthy of being named the starter.
In fact, It has been a point of frustration to most Tiger fans when they see what a great job Lee has been doing for the LSU passing offense, only to see coach Les Miles going right back to giving Jordan Jefferson the starting job.
It appears that coach Miles is so intent on building the running game and keeping it conservative that he fails to reward Lee for his stellar performances in the last two games. Coach Miles feels Jefferson offers him the running game and he wants to establish the ground game first.
But, it is the passing game that has saved the LSU Tigers in each of their last two games. Without the passing game featuring Lee and his receivers, the Tigers would absolutely not be in the position they are in today.
With McNeese coming into Tiger Stadium this weekend, it would be a nice time to give Lee a chance to be the starter. Using him as the starter will give Lee more time to fully get into the complete offense and not just for passing situations.
So far, Lee has not been allowed to even attempt a run and the Tigers are going to have to allow Lee to run the ball sometimes just so the defense will have something else to think about. It appears coach Miles allows Jefferson to throw the ball, but he has not allowed Lee to run the ball.
Possibly coach Miles knows something we don't know about Lee, but I think Lee may offer more than enough to show the defense that he can also run if they don't respect him.
The Tigers will be playing their toughest foes on the schedule in the coming few weeks so the McNeese game offers LSU a good opportunity to evaluate Lee and sparingly used running backs and receivers.
I think we are also going to have to have backs like Spencer Ware, Michael Ford and Richard Murphy spell Steven Ridley as we continue to face these tough SEC defenses in the coming weeks.
I am not really trying to say McNeese is not a good team, but we all know they play in the Southland Conference (Sub-Division I) and they really should not be expected to play on the level with LSU.
This is one of those games where the big boys like LSU give the small instate team like McNeese a chance to play in Tiger Stadium in the lime light.
When you look where LSU was before Jarrett Lee stepped on the field at the Tennessee game and then look where they are now, it is almost a no-brainer to say that Jarrett Lee should be the starting quarterback.
With everything on the line for this season, coach Miles and the LSU Tigers are going to need every offensive advantage they can get if they plan to continue their quest for the SEC championship and then the BCS National Championship game.
Both of these championships are very attainable for the Tigers at this point, but they will need every offensive advantage they can have to be able to beat the teams they will be facing in the next few weeks.
It is time to bring Lee into the full playbook and allow him to execute for the Tigers. LSU has at least as much and probably more talent than any team they face, but they will still have to fully develop and use all of that talent to attain their championship goals.
