The Big 12
1. Can Oklahoma’s Sam Bradford be as good as he was last year or take a Colt McCoy-like sophomore slump?
2. Can Texas’ Colt McCoy fewer interceptions than touchdowns and get out of his sophomore slump?
3. Can Missouri handle the pressure of starting out in the Top 10?
4. Will Texas, Texas Tech, Texas A&M, or North Texas win more games?
5. Is the Big 12 actually as good as it seems?
6. Is Texas Tech really just Hawaii but with Michael Crabtree?
7. Is Jeremy Maclin really that good?
8. Are offenses that good or defenses that bad? Nine teams in the Big 12 are ranked 52nd or worse in total defense.

The Big East
9. Will Pat White be able to throw downfield more than 11 times per game? Will he have to?
10. Noel Devine is a highlight reel, but is he an every-down back?
11. Is USF the second-best football team in Florida?
12. Can the Louisville Cardinals defense be as bad as last year when they got in a shootout with Middle Tennessee State?
13. The conference can win on any given day, but can it win consistently?
14. Can Rutgers become part of the Big Ten, if only to get exposure on the East Coast?

The Pac-10
15. If a team wins its conference seven years and a row and the rest of the conference does nothing, is that considered a good conference? Is it called the Pac-10?
16. Can a Pac-10 team not named USC end up in the Top 10?
17. Which two conference foes will beat USC but in the end it won’t really matter?
18. What’s going on at UCLA and will they have a quarterback?
19. Who is going to be more overrated, Oregon or Cal?

The SEC
20. Is the SEC really that much faster? Or do Trindon Holliday and Chris Rainey just bring down the collective 40 times?
21. Will anybody stop Alex Smith…err…Tim Tebow?
22. Will Florida use a real running back or will it be Tebow, Harvin, and committee?
23. Will the two best teams in the conference not play each other for the second year in a row?
24. Can Georgia survive a tough schedule even with Matt Stafford?
25. LSU can’t possibly defend their national title, can they?
26. So I know Georgia, Florida, and LSU are tough, but what has anyone else done?

The ACC
27. Does the ACC matter?
28. Can Clemson ever handle the pressure of being in the Top 10?
29. Is Terry Bowden the only thing from keeping Clemson from actually doing something?
30. How is it that the Hurricanes and Seminoles scare no one, not even Virginia or Kentucky?
31. Can anyone out-bore the bore-fest known as the ACC Championship Game that was held in Florida?
32. Did the conference champion Virginia Tech really lose that badly to the SEC’s champ LSU?
33. Does Virginia’s Al Groh return to being the worst coach in America?

The Big Ten
34. What NFL team will draft Penn State’s QB Daryl Clark as a running back?
35. Will Juice Williams throw on anybody not named Ohio State?
36. Is Michigan’s Morgan Trent really faster than Percy Harvin, and will Rich Rodriguez move him to offense?
37. Will Purdue beat anyone that matters?
38. Will Minnesota field a defense capable of stopping a high school attack?
39. What is that offense in Ann Arbor going to look like and does it matter?
40. Is Michigan State still a year away from being better?
41. Which team will produce the next lineman that is a Top 5 NFL draft pick?
42. Who’s going to seek and thus receive revenge on Michigan?
43. Will Time Warner finally pick up the Big Ten Network, and if not, how soon do I have to order Direct TV to get it in time for YSU?
44. So will Northwestern or Minnesota finally take that leap forward, or at least not lose to MAC teams, 1-AA teams, or Duke?

The Buckeyes
45. Can Ohio State beat USC with Todd Boeckman?
46. Will the Buckeyes ever beat an SEC team in a bowl game?
47. Can Beanie crack the 2,000-yard mark with a Heisman pose?
48. Can Robiskie crack the 1,000-yard mark and nobody notices?
49. How is time going to be split between Mo Wells, Brandon Saine, and Boom Herron?
50. So who’s this Terrelle Pryor guy?
51. Can Saine be as scary on the field as he is capable of?
52. Is Saine a legitimate option at receiver, and who will be No. 3?
53. Which freshmen will play and make a difference on offense, defense, or special teams?
54. Can the defense stop an offense that runs and passes equally well?
55. Can James Laurinaitis put up another game like he did in 2006 against Texas?
56. Will the defensive line please be Lawrence Wilson, Rob Rose, rotation of current DTs, and Cameron Heyward, lined up in that order?
57. Can Jim Tressel take a page from Wisconsin and run the ball heavily in the National Championship game, if they make it?
58. Can the defense produce takeaways by stripping the ball, making interceptions, and delivering jaw-dropping hits? (The last may be the most difficult.)
59. Are they going to let anyone stand in their way?

General
60. What will be the most embarrassing loss of the season?
61. What will be the most embarrassing out-of-conference loss?
62. Why are Thursday night games so much fun to watch when you don’t really care who is playing?
63. Can the season start?
