This weekend marks a monumental time in the college football season. One college standout will hoist up the most coveted prize in college ball—The Heisman Trophy.
For 13 weeks, athletes from all over the country have battled for the prestigious prize. It's college football's MVP trophy, and Saturday night in New York, four all-stars will lock horns one more time for the solo championship.
Here's the 411 on the final four:
Darren McFadden, RB, Arkansas Razorbacks
Last year's runner up for the Heisman is not about to settle for second best this year. Following his blockbuster 200-yard game in the Hogs' victory over LSU, both McFadden and soon to be former coach Houston Nutt were talking Heisman winner this time around.
McFadden displayed his resume by being all over the field this season. D-Mac racked up 1,725 yards on 304 carries with 15 TDs and nine 100-yard games. Through the air, he was 6/11 for 123 yards and four touchdowns including one against the Bayou Pussycats. As a receiver, D-Train snagged 21 catches for 164 yards and a touchdown.
Despite the Hogs' up and down season, McFadden has tried to keep pace with the rest of the Heisman pack. He must have done something right because he is on his way back to New York for another shot at immortality.
Colt Brennan, QB, Hawaii Warriors
Arguably having the best season of his career, Colt Brennan had the Warriors eyeing the BCS. An undefeated season and several touchdowns later, Brennan is finally in the national spotlight. The Warriors may not be playing until January, but Brennan is ready to cap off his amazing season with the Heisman Trophy coming back to Honolulu.
Brennan completed 337 for 472 (71.4 percent) of his passes for 4,174 yards and 38 touchdowns and averaged 8.8 yards per attempt. He also did a little footwork as he racked up 65 yards and eight touchdowns on 73 carries. He completed his landmark year with a perfect season up to this point and a QB rating of 166.3.
The biggest question here isn’t whether Brennan can finish what he started. The question is can he and his Mighty Rainbow Warriors be this year’s Boise State? That’s a question he’ll answer next month. He’s more focused on saying Aloha to his three opponents and book it back to the island with the MVP trophy in hand.
Chase Daniel, QB, Missouri Tigers
He carried the Tigers to within a heartbeat of playing for the national championship and led them to their first Big 12 Championship appearance and their first No. 1 ranking in more than 40 years.

Colt Brennan - 131 touchdown passes, 23 NCAA records, led the only undefeated team in America. Who else can say that?.... Nobody. How can he not win the Heisman? If you are skeptical, I challenge you to watch last week's Hawaii vs. Washington. Colt is amazing!

It definately belongs to Colt Brennan, Tebow had one impressive season, but Brennan has had two back to back great seasons... give it to the WINNER.
Go Colt.

The Heisman doesn't go to the best player over the last two years. It goes to the most outstanding for THIS year. Plus, even if it was for the past two seasons, you've gotta give it to McFadden over Brennan there too.

McFadden has had a few good games this season. This guy simply disappears more often than not. How a player like this who only shows up big just a few times during the season can win the Heisman is absurd. Tebow, Brennan and even Daniel are better choices.

Brennan has earned the respect of the voters and the public, no one can ignore what accomplisments...He has pulled his team through the fire at least 4 times this season....undefeated....BCS....No one can argue!!!!!

You're right. That "fire" of SJSU and Washington were just so intense. I'm pulling for the Warriors and they deserve their Sugar Bowl berth, but seriously...those games weren't intense by any means by comparisons to everyother BCS teams' schedule.

Give me a break! I'm so tired of hearing everyone bashing McFadden because he had a couple of games that didn't appear to be anything special. Yeah sure, Brennan's numbers are amazing, but he's been playing basically high school defences all year. Sure, blame it on location, but the fact remains that he hasn't played anyone and for the most part he hasn't really been tested. McFadden has been playing top notch SEC defences week in and week out. He put up 200 rushing yards on the ground against the number one defence in the country. As for Tebow, all I've been hearing is about how tough he is because he broke his non-throwing hand and still played. McFadden was sick throughout much of the season and suffered from a rib injury in an earlier game. Sure Tebow can run, but so can plenty of other QB's. The guy is massive and he is going to fall into the endzone if he is running from the 2 yard line. McFadden is a RB that steps up and throws the ball fairly accurately. You just don't see that. And besides, Tebow has a incrediblely talented team that allows him to open up the offense. There are simply too many weapons on that team to cover everything, and with the WR core that they have, it's pick your poison. Let Tebow pick up a few yards on the ground, or let Harvin or Caldwell bust you for 40 or 50. It's an easy choice on choosing who to stop. McFadden on the other hand isn't as fortunate to have so many other weapons on the team to open up the game for him. He is forced to rely solely on the running abilities of Felix Jones to allow him some space to run threw, and even then he is facing stacked defences that are designed to shut him down. Sorry for the rant but I just want to see McFadden get a little respect and win the Heisman like he should have won it last year. He is the most outstanding football player in the country; give him the Heisman.

That word "infamy" doesn't mean what you think it means. Try a dictionary. (You wrote "Next stop: New York and for Chase Daniel, hopefully infamy. ")

Disappointing. All those voters didn't watch any of Colt's games before voting. Well, when he murders Georgia, I hope they change their system... voters must watch at least the last 2 games for each of the candidate. Their vote has no credibility when they just looking at stats and reading news articles.
Vote fair people.
