Nike Pro Combat College Football Jerseys Unveiled
Nike is once again staying on the cutting edge of sports fashion with their 2010 Pro Combat college football gear. The company is giving 10 schools the chance to try out the specialized football uniforms for meaningful rivalry games, or other games of importance.
Nike implemented the combat uniforms for schools like Florida State, Missouri, LSU, and others last season. Yesterday, they unveiled their new 2010 line.
The uniforms are loved by some and loathed by others, but thereâs no denying that they are indeed loud, sharp, and eye catching.
If this is the future of football fashion - count me in!
Alabama Crimson Tide

Uniform Title: Roll Tide
The Tide have the traditional uniform of crimson helmet, crimson jerseys, and white pants. The only distinct change is the pro combat ribbing that lines the numbers.
Boise State Broncos

Uniform Title: Bring The Hammer
Boiseâs uniform will consist of a blue helmet, gray jerseys with blue numbers, and blue pants with blue cleats. Luckily, the team will wear this uniform on the road against Virginia Tech in Landover, Maryland. The players could be hard to spot on their home field with all that blue on.
The helmet has a full enlarged Bronco logo that takes up the entire left- side.
Florida Gators

Uniform Title: Pride
The Gators uniform looks very similar to their current road outfits. It consists of an orange helmet, white jerseys with blue numbers, blue pants, and blue cleats. This one is probably the most basic out of all the teams.
Miami Hurricanes

Uniform Title: The "U"
Orange is the main color of Miami's uniforms. The secondary green color is used for the trim, but the real standout of the outfit could be the cleats. They are black and green and have the type of look that only a team like Miami could pull off.
Ohio State Buckeyes

Uniform Title: 1942
Ohio State's uniforms could be my least favorite on the list. The red helmets and red jerseys just don't do it for me. When I see it I think New Jersey Generals, not Ohio State Buckeyes.
Oregon State Beavers

Uniform Title: Giant Killers
Oregon State's uniform has an old school feel to it with the stripes on the sleeves. The Beavers will don a uniform that consists of a black helmet, a black jersey with orange numbers, white pants, and orange cleats.
Pitt Panthers

Uniform Title: Let's Brawl
Pittsburgh's combat uniforms are a bit drab and dull. The uniform is simply a full blue ensemble with a little bit of gold thrown in for good measure.
TCU Horned Frogs

Uniform Title: Til Hell Freezes Over
TCUâs uniform does a perfect job mixing and balancing the schoolâs main two colors - black and purple. The weathered looking gray helmets and pants are a nice addition and really top this uniform off well.
Virginia Tech Hokies

Uniform Title: UT Prosim
Virginia Tech will sport a full black uniform with orange trim and numbers. The orange cleats are a little much but at least this is a vast improvement from the home jerseys Tech normally disgraces our vision with.
West Virginia Mountaineers

Uniform Title: Leave No Doubt
West Virginia has a uniform that resembles the black and gold color scheme the basketball team has been wearing more of since Bob Huggins became coach. There will be a black helmet with a gold WV logo, a white jersey with black numbers and shoulders, white pants, and yellow cleats.
