There seems to be a change happening in Ann Arbor.. From polls of Wolverines to  what I have been reading.. it all seems to tell me that there is a fundamental shift happening… And they now  believe that MSU is the Biggest game on their schedule… I have NEVER heard this out of Ann Arbor before.

Could it be that their new program, which has gotten them two Big Ten wins or 8 total wins in two years, has become acceptable or the norm ??  Could they be that they are realizing they are not a premier program,  which they think or hoped they are / were..…  Not sure what this all means,  except that its a good chance Rich Rod will be looking for a new job come November…

Brad from the Maize and Blue Nation…..

“MSU is the biggest home game on the schedule this year… For obvious's an in-state rivalry game...the biggest one in the Big Ten….

But I'm here to tell you right here and now that if Michigan loses to Michigan State again this year, Rodriguez may not live to coach against Iowa the next week….. this matchup has become the focal point for whether or not Rodriguez is truly able to win with this team and guide this program back to dominance.”

Here at SpartyMSU, we agree in the enormity of this huge  "In State" game..  It has always been a big game. We also agree with Brad, at Maize and Blue Nation, that it is the biggest "In State" rivalry in the Big Ten.. But, SpartyMSU is looking at the season in its entirety, this is not the make or break game for MSU as it is for U of M… MSU’s Coach’s careers do not depend on this one, this year… Men’s family’s will not go hungry if the Spartans do the unexpected and don’t come home with a win. Unlike, the Wolverines….

But, make no mistake; Spartans are clearly focused on this game. I am 355% positive that Coach Dantonio has special focus on this contest, but as the program advances, he is also focused on the bigger picture as well.

It is nice to see a mind set shift forced on the Wolverines. I am beginning to think Humble Pie is the main course at many Maize and Blue households in recent months.. Couldn’t happen to a more deserving or arrogant group…

See you in Ann Arbor Oct. 9…. Be ready to spend an extra hour after the victorious game singing the Green and White fight song in the Big House again! How Lovely it is….

Sparty ON !!!
