Alabama Crimson Tide: Odds to win the BCS six to one.

Alabama has what it takes to be the first BCS team to win back to back national championships. Nick Saban leads the Tide along with returning Heisman Trophy winner Mark Ingram and nine other returning starters on offense.  The schedule is brutal for Alabama as they play on the road against LSU, Arkansas, and play host to the Gators. In the ever changing landscape of college football it is too hard for any team to repeat, and this includes Alabama.

Ohio St. Buckeyes: Odds to win the BCS six to one.

In my Big Ten college football preview I stated that the Big Ten will come down to Ohio St. or Iowa. The Big Ten champions will have the inside track at the BCS Championship, especially since they do not have a conference championship game (yet). Heisman candidate Terrelle Pryor is an explosive player that has the potential to score from anywhere on the field, and with 10 returning starters this offense should be tough to stop. The defense lost plenty of starters and, although they are deep, it may take some time for them to gel. Tough Big Ten games at Wisconsin and at Iowa may be too much for this team and prevent them from going undefeated. If they get by those games, Ohio St. is a top contender for the BCS championship.

Florida Gators: Odds to win the BCS six to one.

Tim Tebow is gone but the Gators have plenty of talent at QB as John Brantley takes over. Brantley has the skill set and the experience to lead this team to a shot at the Championship. The big blip on this schedule is an early season game at Alabama, but even a loss in that game may not prevent another Alabama/Florida rematch for the title in the SEC Championship game. The winner of that always has a chance to play for the Championship, but playing in the SEC may prove to be tough for the Gators, and they will not bring another title to Florida this year.

Oklahoma Sooners: Odds to win the BCS six to one.

Don’t let last year fool you. The Sooners were decimated by injuries and lost early games that put them out of contention. They are back in 2010 and return nine starters on offense, including RB DeMarco Murray, who will help them put up plenty of points. Oklahoma and Bob Stoops always manage to reload with NFL caliber talent every year. The schedule is not kind as they play three out of the last four games on the road, but by season's end Oklahoma should be in the mix for the National Title.

Now that the favorites to win the BCS Championship have been covered, take a look at teams not to be overlooked, and a few dark-horse teams that may surprise and win the championship.
