On Wednesday, The Sporting News released a Top 100 list ranking the college football teams for next season.

Illinois found themselves on that list as the No. 94 team.

The disappointing part is—there are only 119 teams in D1 college football.

The only thing Illini fans can get out of this is (as one Illinois fan stated on a blog), "Well, nowhere to go but up!"

According to The Sporting News, Illinois is the second-lowest ranked team in the Big Ten, four spots ahead of Minnesota, who is at No. 98.

Also, if you look at the rankings, Illinois only plays two teams that are ranked lower than them: Minnesota (98) and Southern Illinois (N/A).

Here is a look at Illinois' schedule next year, with the rankings of the team next to them:

No. 33 - Missouri (Neutral Site—St. Louis)

(N/A) - Southern Illinois
