The Hype: B/R Welcomes Back College Football with Look at Top Heisman Candidates

The 2017 college football season starts Saturday, but viewers must wait a little longer for the NCAA's top stars to step on the gridiron.

This season offers an array of standout talents looking to earn individual accolades while leading their squads to glory. Quarterbacks Lamar Jackson, Sam Darnold, Baker Mayfield, Jalen Hurts and J.T. Barrett lead a crowded crop of Heisman Trophy candidates, and they will also receive stiff competition from Penn State running back Saquon Barkley.
