Music City Bowl 2016: Nebraska vs. Tennessee Live Score and Highlights
NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Tennessee's imperfect 2016 season ended about as perfectly as it could have for the Volunteers in Friday's Music City Bowl finale.
The Vols beat Nebraska 38-24 in front of a sold-out crowd at Nissan Stadium, and they did so in record-breaking fashion.
Not only did senior quarterback Joshua Dobbs finish his career with a four-touchdown performance, 409 total yards and break the school record for rushing touchdowns in a season with his 12th, star junior defensive end Derek Barnett also broke Reggie White's all-time sack record in the fourth quarter.

It was likely the final game for both UT stars, who went out in style. Tennessee piled up 521 yards of total offense, and though the defense wasn't great, it improved tremendously over the woeful three-game stretch to end the regular season.
The Vols improved to 9-4, while the Cornhuskers fell to 9-4 on the season. It's the third consecutive bowl victory for head coach Butch Jones.
