Florida vs. LSU: Live Score, Highlights for Gators vs. Tigers
So much came down to two plays from the 1-yard line with 24 seconds left in the football game, and Florida's depleted-but-dominating defense dug deep to find a stand for the ages against LSU.
The Tigers couldn't punch the football in from that measly yard away, and the Gators somehow went on the road as a two-touchdown underdog, beat LSU 16-10 and earned their second consecutive spot in the SEC Championship Game in the process.
"How 'bout that? That was all right, wasn't it? These guys, we're beat to heck, came on the road for a home game and won the SEC East, didn't we?" UF coach Jim McElwain told the SEC Network's Kaylee Hartung after the game. "Pretty cool, isn't it?"
On the first play from the 1, Florida stopped LSU fullback J.D. Moore, who had been a short-yardage beast all day. The second time with three seconds left, a pitch back to Derrius Guice failed as Guice's leap and extension fell short and he fumbled.
The Tigers had two fruitless possessions inside their own 10-yard line earlier in the game that didn't help, either.
