The No. 2 Michigan Wolverines held off a late charge from the Michigan State Spartans to win the Big Ten rivalry clash Saturday afternoon.

Michigan once led 30-10, but Michigan State scored two fourth-quarter touchdowns to make it interesting. However, Jabrill Peppers scooped-and-scored a failed option pitch on a two-point conversion to seal the victory for the Wolverines, who improved to 8-0.

Peppers also scored his third rushing touchdown of the season. De'Veon Smith scored twice on the ground, while Amara Darboh tallied a career-high 165 receiving yards.

Michigan State lost its sixth straight game, and is now at risk of missing a bowl for the first time in Mark Dantonio era.
