UCLA vs. Texas A&M: Live Score, Highlights for Bruins vs. Aggies
Game Over. Texas A&M 31 Defeats UCLA 24.
On one of the biggest Saturdays in college football history, Texas A&M downed UCLA 31-24 in what may have been the game of the day.
The Aggies dominated the second half, going up 24-9 with just over four minutes remaining. Yet, Bruins' quarterback Josh Rosen engineered a wild comeback to tie the game with over a minute remaining. In the end, it was the Aggies who scored in overtime and stopped UCLA to earn arguably the best home win in head coach Kevin Sumlin's tenure.
Texas A&M quarterback Trevor Knight, who scored the winning touchdown, 22-for-42 with 239 yards, one score and one pick in his Aggie debut. Josh Reynolds hauled in four passes for 78 yards and a score, and Keith Ford and Trayveon Williams led a rushing attack that totaled 203 yards and three touchdowns.
UCLA struggled to contain a ferocious Aggie pass rush, as Rosen was constantly hurried and sacked five times. Yet, he still threw for 343 yards and a score, while completing 60 percent of his passes. Three interceptions were critical, as the sophomore threw a brutal pick as UCLA was driving for a winning field goal attempt.
Both teams have plenty of room for improvement, as Texas A&M needs a more consistent offensive attack and UCLA needs to upgrade its offensive line play. Yet, the two combined for an absolute thriller at Kyle Field.
The Aggies get a break with Prairie View A&M next weekend, as UCLA hosts UNLV.
