Marcus Lattimore Takes South Carolina Flood Victims on Holiday Shopping Spree

Kyle NewportDec 14, 2015

Many in the state of South Carolina were affected by flooding back in October, with some losing just about everything.

Now, former South Carolina star Marcus Lattimore is doing his part to give back to flood victims and make this holiday season a little brighter for them.

On Sunday, Lattimore took 25 kids from Georgetown County on a shopping spree at Walmart. Each kid received a pair of Under Armour shoes and a $120 gift card to buy anything they wanted, while Walmart also threw in gift bags.

Of course, for some, the experience of meeting Lattimore was just as exciting as getting a shopping spree.

Even though knee injuries prevented him from getting on the field in the NFL, Lattimore still finds himself in a position to help out those in need. The 24-year-old is using his Marcus Lattimore Foundation to make an impact on people's lives.

While the WBTW News 13 report above does a good job of covering the story, here's more on the holiday shopping spree from WIS TV 10:
