Carl Nassib Wins 2015 Lombardi Award: Latest Comments and Reaction
Penn State defensive end Carl Nassib was the NCAA sack leader and deservedly received the Lombardi Award on Wednesday as college football's best lineman.

Nassib logged 15.5 sacks for the Nittany Lions and beat out other formidable finalists in Ohio State star Joey Bosa, Clemson's Shaq Lawson and Myles Garrett of Texas A&M.

The accolade was Nassib's second notable one of the day, as he was also proud to earn the Ted Hendricks Award:
"Extremely honored to win this award and to be able to represent Mr. Hendricks, PSU, and Walk-On U. #themadstork https://t.co/dew2mQBKpH

Having arrived in Happy Valley as a walk-on, it's been quite the meteoric rise for Nassib during his tremendous college career. One has to presume the NFL is next, and he'll be eligible for the 2016 draft since he's a senior.
Bruce Feldman of Fox Sports alluded to how Nassib may have an alternative path in mind if playing on Sundays doesn't work out:
One way for Nassib to bolster his prospects before entering the pros—or at least end his Penn State career in style—is to deliver a monster performance in the TaxSlayer Bowl against the Georgia Bulldogs on Jan. 2.
The Nittany Lions rank 14th in total defense this season largely thanks to Nassib's prowess. He is a big reason Penn State managed to stay above .500 and be bowl-eligible as its offense struggled with consistency despite being led by a talented quarterback in Christian Hackenberg.
