Suspect in Fatal Oklahoma State Parade Car Crash Charged with 2nd-Degree Murder
Adacia Avery Chambers—who was detained Saturday as the primary suspect in a fatal car accident at the Oklahoma State University homecoming parade—is now being held on four charges of second-degree murder, according to the Associated Press.
Chambers was originally held on four manslaughter charges after four people died and dozens were injured when the car she was driving crashed into a crowd lining the street.
According to NewsOK.com's Matt Dinger, Chambers, 25, "will likely be charged with driving under the influence of drugs."

"I don't believe right now that she was intoxicated," Chambers' attorney Tony Coleman said, per Dinger. "I have deep concerns about her competency at this point. I'm not a psychologist or psychiatrist, but I can tell you she's suffering from mental illness."
USA Today's Jim Varney, Trevor Hughes and George Schroeder reported blood tests will determine whether Chambers is charged with driving under the influence of drugs.
According to Dinger, Chambers' bail has yet to be set, and a bond hearing is scheduled for Monday afternoon.
