Michigan State Wins on Walk-off TD After Michigan Punter Fumbles on Final Play

Kyle NewportOct 17, 2015

The Michigan Wolverines were in position to beat rival Michigan State on Saturday, but a special teams flub on the final play cost them the game.

With 10 seconds to play, the Wolverines lined up to punt on 4th-and-2 from the Spartans' 47-yard line. A punt likely would have sealed the game, but Michigan punter Blake O'Neill was not able to handle the snap.

O'Neill lost the football at the Michigan State 38-yard line, with the Spartans recovering. From there, it was a race to the end zone—a race that Michigan State's Jalen Watts-Jackson won.
