LSU QB Commit Feleipe Franks Throws for 362 Yards, 4 TDs in Week 4
A huge game from 4-star quarterback and current LSU quarterback commitment Feleipe Franks propelled Wakulla (Florida) High School to a 40-14 win over Trinity Catholic.
According to Brian Miller of the Tallahassee Democrat, the 6’5”, 220-pound Franks erupted to complete 19 of his 24 passes for 362 yards and four touchdowns to help the Eagles improve to 3-1 on the season.
What makes his performance even more impressive is the fact that he did it in three quarters of play.

As Miller notes, 4-star receiver Keith Gavin—who recently decommitted from Florida State and is considering schools such as Alabama and Georgia—was his primary target. Gavin hauled in eight passes for 165 yards and was on the receiving end of two scoring strikes from Franks.
For Franks, it was the type of performance that validates his lofty standing as the nation’s No. 5 pro-style quarterback and the No. 49 player overall in the 2016 cycle.
As Sonny Shipp of Geaux247 notes, it was the second consecutive week in which he tossed four touchdown passes.
His immense physical tools are hard to ignore. While he has flashed his potential early in his career and throughout the offseason camp circuit, the main area he needed to improve on was adding the element of consistency to his game.
If Franks continues to progress and stack performances together such as the one he had on Friday night, he will cement his standing as the quarterback of the future in Baton Rouge.
Franks, who holds the distinction of being the first LSU commitment of the 2016 cycle, has been pledged to the Tigers since June of 2014.
He’s also been one of the key cogs in a class that currently rates No. 2 in the country. He’s been a frequent visitor on LSU’s campus, and he’s been one of the more active recruiters in helping head coach Les Miles and his staff attract more elite prospects to the Tigers' 2016 class.
Over the last two seasons, Franks completed more than 56 percent of his passes while throwing for 4,091 yards and 46 touchdowns and just 14 interceptions.
Given his strong play in the last two weeks, it appears as if Franks is proving himself to be one of the premier signal-callers in the 2016 cycle.
