Notre Dame Unveils New Green Monster-Themed Uniforms for Game at Fenway Park

Kyle NewportAug 13, 2015

The Notre Dame Fighting Irish are going to fit right in when they play at Fenway Park during the 2015 season.

On Thursday, the Fighting Irish unveiled their latest "Shamrock Series" uniforms that they will wear for their Nov. 21 game against Boston College at Fenway Park. Fittingly, Notre Dame's latest look will pay tribute to the stadium's legendary Green Monster in left field.

The uniforms also honor the Fighting Irish's history. There are 11 breaks in the Notre Dame stripe (on the helmet and pants), representing the team's 11 national championships.

As for the material, Under Armour used its new ArmourGrid technology—which is supposed to make the uniform nearly impossible to grab—to try to give the team an edge on the field.
