Oklahoma's Sterling Shepard Lands on Camera Equipment While Trying to Catch TD
Oklahoma receiver Sterling Shepard gave a great effort trying to haul in this pass in the first half against Kansas State on Saturday, and he ended up paying the price.
Shepard was unable to stay on his feet after grabbing the ball. With cameramen everywhere behind the end zone, the Sooners wideout didn't have much breathing room and ended up landing on camera equipment. The result: Shepard injured his hip on the play.
Although he gave a great effort, he was unable to get a foot down in the end zone.
Update from Monday October 20
According to TulsaWorld.com (h/t College Football Talk), the photographer apologized via a letter he wrote to Shepard.
---End of update---
Luckily, Shepard was able to shake off the rough landing and come out ready for the second half.
