AJ McCarron and Johnny Manziel Enjoy Whirlwind Bromance, Plan Vacation Together
Watch out world, because Johnny Manziel and A.J. McCarron are ignoring their quarterback rivalry and instead forming like Voltron for a future beach vacation.
That's a whole lot of bro, bros.
It's the kind of tweeting that would have some fans pause and ponder, aren't you guys supposed to hate one another?
McCarron, who plays for Alabama, sounded off on his buddy, who plays for SEC rival Texas A&M, to USA Today:
We’re either going to Key West or Cancun and will hang out with our other friends. Me and him, we don’t ever let that (football talk) bother us. He’s a good friend of mine, and he’s a funny dude.
Per the report, the two met at the Super Bowl, which, I assume, is when the two spoke about their similarities.
Both are amazing athletes: McCarron helped Alabama win yet another national championship last season, and Manziel took home the Heisman as a redshirt freshman. The two also have girlfriends who have garnered a tad bit of attention. Johnny Football dates model Sarah Savage, while McCarron dates Katherine Webb. Perhaps you have heard of her.
After some pleasantries, I assume the following conversation went down between the two:
McCarron then explains that when the two get together, it's not about football. Sometimes you just have to crush life and leave the shop talk for another time.
The QB tells USA Today the two rarely trash-talk one another:
Nah, we don’t. Football is our life, so when we get away, we try to get away and not really bring that in. He’s got all the trash talk on me because he won, so there ain’t much I can talk about.
As the report reminds, McCarron has just a tad bit of room in the smack-talk area, because he did manage to win two championships at Alabama.
Hold your head high, kid. Last I checked, winning two titles as a starter and dating America's sweetheart counted as pretty strong ammunition when trash-talking.
McCarron and Manziel are now besties, ready to conquer a sun-drenched beach shortly. Use that information accordingly.
