Denard Robinson Officially Graces Cover of NCAA Football 14

Mike ChiariJun 4, 2018

It is anyone's guess how Michigan quarterback Denard Robinson will fare at the NFL level, but if nothing else he will be immortalized for all time as the NCAA Football 14 cover boy.

According to Michigan Football's official Twitter feed, the dynamic Robinson will grace the cover of the hit video game this year. Robinson won a fan vote back in March as he defeated Texas A&M wide receiver Ryan Swope in the finals. EA Sports released the official cover on Tuesday, so Robinson will now be immortalized in video game history.

This has to be an extremely stressful time for Robinson, so perhaps the cover release will allow him to relax to some degree. The NFL draft kicks off on April 25 and lasts through April 27, and it is unclear when Robinson will be taken, who will select him and what position he'll play at the professional level.

It's highly unlikely that Robinson will be given the opportunity to play quarterback in the NFL, so a wide receiver with kick-returning capabilities seems like a logical progression. Robinson will be an explosive player regardless of where he plays, though, so some team out there will find a place for him.

The Wolverines have a rich history of success in the NFL, but they also have a history of gracing the NCAA Football video game's cover. This marks the third time that a Wolverine will be on the cover, as Charles Woodson was featured in 1999 and Desmond Howard was given the honor in 2006.

Robert Griffin III was on the NCAA Football 13 cover and he went on to have a huge rookie season, so maybe the good karma will continue for Robinson this year.
