Twitter has given a voice to everybody, and Alabama quarterback A.J. McCarron and LSU cornerback Tyrann Mathieu decided to use that voice to get into a little back-and-forth on Monday morning.

Mathieu got the discussion going with a jab at McCarron's role on the Alabama team.

While that's true, McCarron did pick on Mathieu quite a bit during Alabama's 21-0 romp over LSU in the 2012 BCS National Championship Game which crowned the Crimson Tide as the 2011 national champions.

McCarron fired back, saying that it's not defense, but an entire team that wins championships.

Not to be outdone, Mathieu aptly pointed out that McCarron has only one National Championship, not 14.

McCarron got the last word, telling his fan base to sit back and wait until November 3, when the two teams will meet in Baton Rouge.

A game that, according to the Golden Nugget, LSU is favored by two points in. That piece of news didn't escape Mathieu.

McCarron then told Alabama wide receiver Kenny Bell that he now has more fuel to beat LSU in early November.

Never change, Twitter.
